Description: This is an adaptation of ideas gathered from programs on SciFi channel and throughout the net. We've all heard about area 51 before and most of us have played games based on the premise of the base. This is a map originally made for JK2 but never released because of the arrival of JKA. It's a possible hangar located in the S-4 area of the Area 51 facilities with some 'vehicles' of unknown origin located inside. It is pure fiction, but it was fun to do.

We've also updated the site with some information about how exactly JKArena works; it appears many of you were unclear on that issue.
And lastly, we've also created a JKArena demo example level for level authors to figure out how to implement the cogs and to figure out what JKArena is like. It's nothing spectacular, but gets the job done. It's included in the new devkit.

Madaventor was diagnosed with a brain tumor about 2 and a half years ago. He had multiple surgeries, removing about 90-95% of the tumor. However, the tumor grew back, to nearly double it's original size.
4 weeks ago, his parents were informed by doctors that he only had 3 weeks to live. He was kept on strong painkillers, and was most likely in very little pain.
You can read more about it, and post your condolences here: http://forums.massassi.net/html/Forum1/HTML/031774.html
Rest In Peace, Adam.
Update: jEDIkIRBY has initiated a memorial of sorts, by making some sort of collection of all the things Adam has made and contributed to the Massassi Community.

Description: Happy Holidays from Raven Software! Included in this map pack are 6 new MP maps (1 Duel, 1 CTF, and 4 FFA).
Once installed, new maps will appear on top of the existing ones in the map selection list. Press OK to unzip to your Jedi Academy installation folder (the default installation path is selected automatically).
These maps are released "as is" and are not supported by Raven Software, Activision, or LucasArts.
New Maps:
duel_bonus1 - Coruscant
ctf_bonus1 - Rift of Shadows
ffa_bonus1 - Gas Mine
ffa_bonus2 - The Fortress
ffa_bonus3 - Conquest of Byss
ffa_bonus4 - Ord Mantell Canyon
Unzip to your Jedi Academy Installation folder. The maps will appear at the top of the map selection menu when you host your own game in multiplayer.
Troubleshooting:
If you do not see the new maps listed in-game, ensure that the file "bonus.pk3" is located in your installation's "GameData\base" folder. The default path is "C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\base". You will see other .pk3 files in the correct "base" folder. Simply drag and drop the "bonus.pk3" file into the correct "base" folder if it has been installed to the wrong location.

Description: This multiplayer level is a rendition of the highschool I actually attended. I started this level in 2001, but deleted it in 2002. I had graduated in 2002, and felt the level would never be completely finished. I was right. However, I found this level on one of my old discs the other day, and decided to work on it again. Now, living in Florida, I had nothing to base the level off of anymore, so I just blocked off the unfinished parts with doors that won't open. These include one of the gyms, a lot of class rooms, the library, and the whole 2nd floor of the old building. I figured it would be better to release at least this much, rather than nothing at all. You may notice several errors including disappearing 3DOs, and pretty much all the stairs in the level. I figured it would be too time consuming and too much trouble to go back and fix all these errors. They arn't too noticable though. And now, I present to you Chester High School!

Description: Deep underground there is a bunker. In this bunker is a weapon store room, a cafeteria, a whole fleet on a mission to go to the planets core, a temple, 5 or 6 different hidden cameras, a teleport room, a gun training room, a garrison, the main monk of the temples room.
NB:You can't get to the planets core, and that's thats why you teleport away from it.
Special thanks to _yo_starwars4 and _WBR_CL_VulcaN for beta testing my level and also for _yo_starwars4 for giving me level ideas.

Changes JK/MotS textures to 16-bit and blurs them to reduce pixelation. This also darkens the textures making Jedi Knight look more Quake-ish.The site linked above also has screenshots showing the difference between the original textures and the converted ones.
Suggestions for other effects can be emailed to me (ugg_boot@yahoo.com), or posted in the main editing forum.
Be sure to also check out JKPaint, a graphics program for Jedi Knight and MotS.

Description: The Lightkatana is a powerful weapon. I made several modifications to the properties of the hilt. The hilt now is a reskin. The blade is from a Katana which I edited a bit, so that it fits with the hilt. The blades are bigger and wider than normal blades. Normal hilts will also show up with the new blades. You will see a red 'blood' dust when you strike your opponent with the Katana.

Although I have been working on upgrading the scripts since I came back to Massassi, I wasn't planning a roll-out until mid-January. Since I am already working on new scripts, I don't really want to spend time fixing all the old ones to work with the new version of PHP. However, I don't really want the site to be broken until mid-January, so I'm going to explore some ways to fix the most-used portions of our site (levels and EC first).
We apologize for the inconvenience, and I thank you for your patience.

Description: This is beta 9.7 of Fatal Resistance (formally known as SS3) for Jedi Knight. It is a mod/TC that takes place in 2155, when a war between humanity and an alien race called the Thornosapeins fight for domination of the Earth. This beta features four multiplayer levels (one CTF, three DM) and has a total of 14 weapons and 8 player skins. For more infomation on the mod, please visit its site.
Unfortunately, the JKArena site was also affected by the php upgrade, and no longer functions properly. I'm sure everything will be coming back online soon. If you need immediate help, drop by #jkarena on irc.holonet.org or email me.

Description: GOLEM Forge is a weapons and items modification that has been worked on since late 1997, when Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II was released. The first release was at www.jediknight.net under a different name, and was nothing more than a conglomeration of cogs and 3DO's (models) put into GOB form. After stretching my wings, so to speak, with that first release, I have gone through at least 50 versions, searching for the ever-elusive "perfect mix" of weapons and items.
This post-beta release is a FULL VERSION, however, it is not "The Completed" version. In essence, I'll never finish working on it, but I wanted to see what reaction GOLEM Forge would get from the Massassi Temple and Jedi Knight patrons. This mod has 10 weapon replacements, ranging from teleport devices to a grappling hook with rope, and you may CLIMB up and down. The weaponry and devices are what this mod is about, and I hope each and every one who downloads this mod will enjoy it to its fullest.

Description: This is a relatively small Duel, FFA, Jedi Master, and Team FFA map set on an ancient planet shaded in mystery. The ruins lie in neglect with their true purpose long forgotten and their builders long extinct. Due to the architecural style and mysterious nature it is believed they were of Sith origin, but the Sith had been loosely organized from time to time and now the few that know of the ruins' existance remain uncertain.

Corellia
The Galactic Civil war is over. Corellia is free. Chaotic times are upon them, but the Empire is gone. New Republic troops are still stationed here in small numbers as the Corellian Security Force, or CorSec, is rebuilt. There is of course a certain amount of tension between the independence loving Corellians and the New Republic troops, but Corporal Mikeal Anders is doing his best to promote solidarity...

I gave him some skater shoes and a couple battle marks, implanted my face, gave him my voice box and changed his suit color to something a little more gothic and, voila. It's me - kinda. At least it will add some spice to the JKA world. Enjoy.

Description: This is a Mod where your projectiles from your guns look like fireworks. There are a few bugs as this is only version 1. I've added a little MP level in this package so you can have fun, have a drink, enjoy the fireworks. Oh, wait. I haven't added a bar yet: Hopefully there'll be one in version 2! There are weapons all over the place, and two that are hidden because they are EXTREMELY dangerous in the wrong hands. You'll find more infromation on the weapons in the package under ExtraInfo.TXT. Almost every thing has an action when you activate it. I hope you'll enjoy this, and hope you enjoyed New Years Eve.
