Description: Prepare for a new dimension of excitement for JO MP! This adds a new skin to Jedi Outcast; Kyle in those dark clothes that he wore in MotS, down with that poncy white shirt and brown trousers I say. If this gets enough praise, I'll think about making a SP patch version.

- To set a color for a certain part of text, type a caret (a ^, which is Shift+6), then a number corresponding to the color. For example, to make my name blue, I would type: ^4blujay
- To set the color of text and its shadow, if the shadow's color is the same as the text's color, type: ^TextColor^TextColor
- To set the color of text and its shadow, if the text and shadow colors differ, type: ^TextColor^ShadowColor^TextColor
You can make some really cool looking names this way.
Multiplayer Dismemberment: I found a way to enable dismembering people in multiplayer. Start a server and set g_dismember to 100. 100 wont dismember players all the time, but it happens much more often. The clients also have to set cg_dismember to 1 or else they wont see it.
It works, however this is a bit inaccurate. The higher you set g_dismember the higher the actual chance of dismembering becomes. I set my g_dismember to 1000-3000, if you set it too high you get errors and the game crashes. Also, both client and server need to set cg_dismember to 1.
Well thats basically it, have fun!

Anyone who has maps they've made and are waiting to release to the public, I can compile them for them if they send me everything I need (map file, textures, models, shaders, etc.) and I will send them back. We are waiting on releasing the editing tools until we are certain it will work 100% on the first release.

Description: A long time ago... in a galaxy far, far away... the events of the Stories Untold occured. The sinister Lord Sepsis was raining destruction on the once peaceful galaxy. A young Jedi by the name of Rod-Wan Deattrod and his fellow apprentice, Qea-Ginn Tisal, face their destinies as they embark on a quest to restore peace to the galaxy. Follow the epic tale of the two Jedi as they pursue their destinies. Interact with the people that lived at the time of the Stories Untold, approximately 4,500 years before the Battle of Yavin. Wield powerful weapons that are later forsaken by other Force users... Will you use them for good... or for evil? Prepare to be immersed into the tale of the Stories Untold! After testing with others, a 3DFX card is required to play. While this mod was made 99% by ourselves, there is a 1% chance that there were items used as reference to further enhance the mod, that were made by others. Borrowed material may include: IWP2, GlowSaber, Ninja Kage, SBX 1-3, GOTG, possibly others. As we may have not gotten express permission to use some of the materials from the above sources, we acknowledge ANY material found in this mod may be borrowed. If you find such things, please e-mail Rod-Wan with the information and he will make the note promptly. We would also like to point that this mod is designed to use many features that people enjoy so we can let players have the most fun possible when playing. Also, the modification may have some bugs. We would like for you NOT to tell us, as we are continuing this project on Jedi Knight 2. Thank you!

Now housing over 200 textures for anyone's personal use, thelimelite.net is better than ever! The site also boasts an updated levels section, adding more organization to the mix, a revamped texture section, and a FAQ. Not only does the page brandish textures for your downloading pleasure, but also models, a winamp skin, and even forums for frequent visitors!
This is great news as always, especially with the recent release of Jedi Outcast, and the ever-growing closer release of JORadiant. As its always good to have some great, free, high-quality, textures at your disposal.
Let me remind all authors and future authors, we do not accept stolen material, and we will delete it.

Description: 'Jedi Outcast: Jedi Knight II' Multiplayer Bot/Skin based on the lead character from the 1982 movie Tron. This is my first attempt at skinning. It is based on the prisoner model. The majority of the textures are new for this skin. I had hoped to do more detail on the skin, but it got fairly frustrating so I decided to release it as is. It at the very least resembles Tron. If anyone wishes to improve upon my efforts feel free to do so. Just be sure to give me recognition for my contributions.

Description: This saber hilt is used by Luke Skywalker in the Return of the Jedi movie. This mod works, but when I played, the lightsaber color mixed with blue when you swung it. I'm not sure if this was intentional, but it's kind of cool.
I have updated my online portfolio, The Texture Factory with a few more textures. And just in case you missed the news, all textures that I put up on my site are now free to use for the public. I'm in the process of converting them, as well as their partners (that would have made the page far more tedious to look at), for a variety of different games, including JO. Until then, feel free to convert them yourselves.Sounds cool, so check it out.

Description: This mod is a compilation of some of the best skins available, and one Bingu was kind enough to whip up for me. It also includes some Starsabers and a silver saber made by Wanderer. There will probably be updates to this mod every month or two as new skins come out. The main purpose of this mod is to put a lot of good skins in one file, instead of multiple files that may not be supported by a host. There’s the Absath skin, MotS Kyle, and a Dooku skin. I'll add to it and release updated versions occasionally. There are credits to all of the authors in the readme, and there’s a certain skin most Canadians might like, thanks Bingu.
- First of all, do not submit levels, mods, skins, or other files to staff@massassi.net!
- Do send such files to levels@massassi.net. And if you have a Web site, do upload the file to your site and send us the URL instead of attaching the file to the e-mail itself.
- Do not send large attachments (like 5 megabyte ones) to anyone's e-mail address unless you have asked ahead of time, or were instructed to like I just did. It's rude, and your e-mail will likely be deleted without being read!
We will update our submission instructions for Jedi Outcast soon, but until then, submit a valid readme and two screenshots with your level/skin/mod, as is required for Jedi Knight files. And send them to the correct e-mail address! Please!

BS87 sends word that he has discovered two new multiplayer models. I'll let him do the explaining: "So far, i have found 2 hidden MP models in the game. They are the imperial officer, and Kyles Ghost father. Here are their names, respectivly. To enable these, while in MP, open the console and type: Model \"modelname\" (with or without Quotes) Imperial - normal imperial model Morgan - Ghost of Kyles Father. Also, there *should* be red/blue versions of these models, but i havent tested all of them. to use these, type: Model \"modelname/blue\" or Model \"modelname/red\" Note: using red or blue of morgan (Kyle's father) makes him solid, and not ghost like i, think" So tinker around with those if you like and let us know how they work out!Haven't tried it yet, but it sounds cool!

This converts a Quake3 BSP map to one that Jedi Outcast can load. It allows you to play simple maps built with Q3Radiant or GtkRadiant, without having to send them to Raven for compiling. You can find more information, and the utility, on JOMap's website.
Obviously, this is just a temporary thing until Raven releases their editing tools. This is still experimental, so don't expect it to work all the time. It may only work for very simple maps.

Description: A level pack of five skybox-type levels. Uses 16bit MATs, so they will only work with (most) 3D-Accelerators. The level architecture & 3dos were made by me, the skyboxes are ported from skyboxes for UT/Quake or made by me, too. There are different versions of each level in the GOB: Guns, sabers, Rbots. The levels can be played with a time/points limit, you'll stay in your "mode" (i.e. the five guns levels will cycle, the four saber levels will cycle, and the 2 Rbots level will cycle)
Warning: Will only work with 3D-Cards supporting 16bit mats.

Description: It works well if you start a new game, not a saved. With this mod, you can play in JO as Jan Ors with dark clothes and sith tatoos of Naga Sadow. Her lightsaber is a reborn type and the blue blade core is translucid. You start with all the force powers at level 3. Jan, Luke, some reborns and shadowtroopers, basic Imperial troopers, and officers are now friendly and follow you everywhere. However the New Republic troopers, prisoners, Lando, Tavion, Desann, amd some Imperial droids are your enemies. Technically, when you use the internall view, the saber is ugly because playing as Jan isn't expected by Lucasarts.

Then I added the saber cores and some changes to enemy AI which also includes better dismemberment possibilities.

Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast is by far one of the most exciting games that has been released in quite some time. With Raven Software's developers tweaking the Quake 3 Team Arena engine we are given a new style of gameplay with outstanding graphics. Kyle Katarn has some new acrobat moves that are sure to make a Stormtroopers head spin. In all it's glory the lightsaber magnificently hums and glows. W32.Klez is a worm which uses the infected computers' windows address book to determine addresses to send itself to. The worm has its own means of sending, and therefore does not need to use the infected e-mail client to send itself. The subject and attachment are random, although there have been some reports at least within this community of relation to Jedi Outcast. It exploits a vulnerability found by Juan Carlos García Cuartango of Kriptopolis.com, similar to that found by Georgi Guninski of Guninski.com. This was found on March 29th, and affects those running Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 and 5.5, regardless of the version of Outlook Express. It also attempts to copy itself to all shared drives and folders it can find. In order to protect against W32.Klez, it is suggested you upgrade Internet Explorer to a version over 5.5 and/or apply Service Pack 2.Thanks to lordvader for the information - now fix your computers!

Description: This is a small MP duel map, great with sabers only and full force. The level is a bit dark for players to run and hide. It also has colorful lighting, which gives the level a futuristic look.

Description: This is a medium-sized FFA level that is actually my first released level for any brush-edited game (and for any Quake engine, for that matter). Set in Cloud City, run around and drop your friends (AND BOTS!) off of ledges, etc. etc. Enjoy!

Description: This is a small Duel level in a jungle setting. I added some dramatic music that will help for semi-dramatic saber battles. The lighting is somewhat dim, so that may lead to a good saber battle. This is my first level for anything, and I think I did ok.
