1. Level posting at Massassi is not a glamorous position. It's very tedious and time-consuming. You have to deal with an extreme number of incorrect submissions. It takes a long time to download, process, upload, type in the information, and verify that each level is posted correctly. This isn't a joke. It's a very tedious process and it is WORK.
2. I'm only interested in taking someone into the staff as a level poster. I don't need news posters and I don't need someone trying to change the site. All I need is a level poster. If this isn't the position that you're ULTIMATELY after, please don't apply.
3. If you're not good at sticking with projects for the long term (say, at least 3 months of ACTIVE participation on a daily [or MOSTLY daily] basis), please don't apply. I understand that people have other obligations such as school and work, however I'm not interested in taking someone into the staff if they just don't have time or motivation for it.
4. You will not get a Massassi email address until you have proven to us that you are a reliable level poster.
5. You must ALREADY know the following:
- How to use ftp to upload files to a server.
- How to resize and reformat image files (such as .gif to .jpg).
- Basic HTML by hand (we don't use editors such as FrontPage).
- How to use a pop3 mail reader to access email and extract attachments.
- Broadband access - 56k modems don't count!
- An FTP program that you are comfortable with.
- A pop3 mail reader you can use to retrieve large attachments (I have yet to hear of even one web-based email system that can handle the size of the attachments I am talking about so please don't apply if you have hotmail or something similar!).
- The nickname you would like me to use for your identity on the main page if you are selected.
- The email address you would like displayed on the main page if you are selected.
- The type of internet access you have.
- The FTP program you currently use and will use for posting levels at Massassi.
- The mail reader you will be using to check the Massassi levels account.
- The approximate time per day you can spend posting levels. This must be a couple of hours per day at least 4 days a week.
- A short paragraph or a couple of sentences on why you think you would be good for the job.

Description: The Call is heard. You raise your head as it resounds around you mind, whispering softly a Siren's Song of urgent challenge. Another approaches. It weaves around you like leaves on the air, beckoning, commanding as a Puppet Master. There is but one action to take. Answer it. This is a Saber Level, designed for 2-4 People. It is set in the scene of an Ancient Temple like Arena. I created this for No Force, and thus there are no Force Items of any kind. Neither are there any Health or Shield Items. In an Arena. There are no second chances. Heed the Call. Take the Journey.

Description: You are James Ward, an ex-special forces agent currently working security for Project Blackwind, a biological weapon in its first stages of development that's so secret few top government officials know of its existance. One day everything goes wrong when an odd terrorist attack cripples Facility C5-025 and permantally delays Project Blackwind. Luckily, you were in the basement of the facility at the time of the attack. These terrorists have somehow changed all the passwords on the doors and turned all the security measures against you.
This is my first level I've released, so if there's something in the level that you didn't like, be kind.

Also on a side note to those who sent in applications. You are still being considered if one of the new guys is not dependable.
Please do not send anymore applications. If we run out of possible people then we will let you know. So just sit tight and enjoy the new levels.
Before I go, those who submit levels please make it easy on the new recruits by following all the submission guidelines. Thankyou.

Description: The fairly large world of Aduin is located in the closer reaches of the Outer Rim, just bordering Wild Space. It's tourist population (all four of them, lol) comes everly twelve millenia to see the planet's spectacular skies and geological phenomina. Due to the planet's below-standard gravity, material from the planet's relatively small surface have been able to drift up into the outer reaches of the planet's atmoshpere, making landing on the surface extremely difficult. There's the story, now here's the details:
I've been seeing multiple versions of what I categorise as the '3do hopper'. These have had the potential to be interesting (as mine strives for but most likely fails at), but have become increasingly not so interesting. I did this in under 2 hrs, ok? So give me a break, I was trying to prove that the 3do hopper CAN look fairly interesting.

- Experience using UBB as a regular user.
- Experience using the UBB administration panel as an administrator.
- Experience using FTP in relation to UBB (to take care of problems that can't be handled via the administration panel such as looking up passwords).
In addition to these specific requirements, the following personal values are desired.
- Diligence in following up every single email that comes in regarding the forums.
- Diligence in documenting all bans and action taken in our ban list system (separate from UBB).
- Strong sense of fairness and justice regardless of personal feelings towards certain people (IE: just because you don't like a person is no reason to be unfair in handling forum issues).
- An understanding of our forum rules, why they are there, and an agreement with at least most of them.
- The ability to enforce even the rules you don't agree with.
Although this job doesn't take as much time as our other typical jobs (news and level posting, for instance), it is nevertheless a very important position. The ideal candidate should be able to check the forums email address at the very least once per day and have an average turn-around of no more than 24 hours. This position has a 30 day trial period - if you join the team and don't perform your duties adequately within in the first 30 days, we will choose someone else.
If you feel you have the experience, time, and energy for this volunteer position, please send an email to me with the following information. If you leave anything out, your application will not be considered.
- The name or nickname you use and would like displayed on our pages.
- The email address you will use to handle forum email (all "forums@massassi.net" email will be forwarded to an address you specify during the first month - if, after that, you are still on staff, you will be issued an @massassi.net email address if you want one).
- A description of your previous experience regarding UBB administration, FTP, and any previous moderation experience.
- A few sentences or a short paragraph describing why you would be the ideal candidate for this position.

Description: This is a medium sized multiplayer level mainly for 3-8 people. It takes place in Barons Hed and in a mercenary's house. You could say, his 'retirement' house, as it's pretty big. Description: The Temple of Chaos could be considered a large level. The design is meant to encourage a more traditional first person shooter gameplay style in which you are not constantly in contact with your opponents. The temple floor consists of a main room intersected by 3 hallways and one throne room. The hallways provide access to various rooms and gravity tubes which lead to the second and third floors. The second floor is relatively small and consists of a couple hallways, three rooms, and two air ducts. Entering and exiting the second floor is one way. There are two ways up and two ways down. The rooftop of the temple provides an open area for FF sabers or a gun fight with some supply crates for cover. In each corner of the rooftop you will find a blaster cannon; however, all ammo has been removed and placed in a secret area. Now only those who find the ammo and dare to use it have the power of the cannon. You will find the surge, revive, and cannon ammo within secret areas. A two player game may seem long, but three or more players provides many encounters with your opponents. The story line of this level is that it is the ancient temple of the BoC, and the upper levels are undergoing a refit process into a more modern state. It is highly recommended that you enable 3d acceleration for this level.

Description: This is a SINGLE PLAYER LEVEL FOR JK. Sorry for not creditting some of the contributors last time I submitted. I have done so in this revised addition of AJD2. Last you left off at you had defeated the cloned sith of Darth Maul, before finding out there where no weapon plans, it was simply a trap for the jedi. Jedi council member Koben Katarn picked you up after defeating the sith. When you came back to the Jedi Council, Yoda told you he already had foreseen there were no weapon plans. The council thinks that there may be a link from the trade federation for the cloning of the sith. He had to be defeated, thats why Yoda didn't say anything. He has assigned you with a new mission. There is a space station that has been orbitting Tatooine for a while now. He want's you to go to the space station a find out what there doing orbiting Tatooine. What you and the council don't know is that the space station is run by genetically engineered cyborgs (cyborgs are part flesh part robot, so they will bleed). They can push themselves harder, longer then any other normal man or droid. They have guns built into their arms, and they are also fast shooters. Note: The patch that came with the level, I put there for a reason. It's very important in order to get the full effect for this game. One other thing. When you quikesave, make sure you don't have your lightsaber out, and make sure there is no saber sounds going on. (for instance turning it off, or clashing etc.) and when you die and you load again, pause it and go to load and load it again, or else it may screw up your force powers.

Description: Achieve balance with a lightsaber—the strongest and most simple Jedi weapon. Fight with finesse using a lightstaff—nearly as strong as the lightsaber yet twice as deadly. Fend off opponents from afar with an extended saber—twice as much range as a lightsaber although the least powerful. Whichever weapon you choose, remember that a Jedi's spirit lies not within the weapon, but within oneself.

Please email me if you need to be added. The email contains instructions for downloading and installing the JK Arena resources in your levels.
This will probably be the last JK Arena update on the main page of Massassi until right before the official release, but if you want to keep up on the latest JK Arena news, please drop by the JK Arena web site every once in a while. Don't worry, it will get a face-lift before the initial release.
