Darth maul

Posted: 2002-07-21 12:16 p.m.   Report Abuse I'm sick of the reborn skins. Everyone is using reborn skins, changing color, and then changing faces and calling it something new. It's unoriginal, and as annoying as Canyon Oasis maps for Dark Forces 2!

That statement may or may not be true, but even so, it has NO bearing on the overall quality of the mod I'm evaluating. Whether or not I can do "better" than this Darth Maul skin, the fact remains that it's a less-than-stellar effort. Whether or not I can design a better automobile than a Ford Pinto, I can still safely say that a Ford Pinto is a shitty car. Mods, like cars, must be evaluated in relation to other mods on the market -- not in comparison with your personal abilities as a mod designer.

Now then. I give this mod a 4. It's not bad, but it's certainly losing points for not breaking any new ground.

As a general rule of thumb: if you're going to do something others have done before you, you need to improve upon what they've done. This Reborn-Darth Maul skin is not only unoriginal; it is markedly inferior to several other Reborn-Maul skins already available.

People say that the reborn reskins are unoriginal and boring, but think why people use it- because it is a good model with a bad skin and if people make a decent skin for it fair enough dont critisise them for it, as i said i like it kep up the good work
