Looks absolutly nothing like the sabers in EP2.

Overall it's a nice attempt to recreate the prequel atmosphere. But there are some noticeable flaws with this mod -- most significant, that the blue (default) saber looks far more white than blue. I'm assuming it's little more than a standard blade, with the core extended to cover most of the width.

There are a number of Ep II saber mods floating around out there, and this one is certainly not the worst. It's not quite the best, though.

If this is part of the TC pack, then I'm less enthusiastic about the pack now than I was initially. :(

Personally, I like the originial sabers better because of the glow. Those basically look like colored cone swords.

A TC means TOTAL CONVERSION! That means it changes EVERYTHING but the engine itself, this basicly is only a MOD which besides, it is almost impossible to make a TC for the Quake III engine, but hey, LucasArts did it(JO) go out and try just see if you can do it.

i'm not much of a saber mod person but i think these look pretty nice. they're at the least just as nice as the other saber mods out there. good job and dont worry about non constructive critisizm, just keep on modding :)

I don't like it as much as your first mod. I see you tried to shrink down the glowspot, but it would require totally redesigning the lightsaber effect as far as I know. You did get the blue color right this time at least.

They don't look like episode 2, but I certainly like the yellow, since you can see the core for once.

I don't know. I'd have to see them in-game.

I dont normally like these types of mod, but I like this one. The original sabers are still better but this was a good attempt (and as its only beta its pretty good) I give it a 7

The extended cone is nice, but in Episode 2 they did have some glow. If you make the core a little bit smaller and add more glow it'll look better in my opinion.

I like these and like the one earlier said, dont listen to N.C.C. because usually they can do no better. And it's a beta ver. anyway so you can improve. 8/10

I think I'll do another version soon ,as this one sucks really. I just got some decent reference pics, finally, and yes they arn't quiet right.
As to the Total Conversion. This is only a PART of the conversion and I am part of a Huge team that is working on it.
Also just to let you know I'm not actually experienced in this , I'm actually the sound editor ;).
I was the only one out of us that could be bothered to make it!
I promise the next version will be better :)

Well, we certainly appreciate your effort. You guys at the TC team are working hard -- and people seem to let that slip their minds when they flame some of your efforts.

As I mentioned before, this mod is a decent start. I'm sure that your reference pics will help you refine the look of these sabers to something more along the lines of those in Episode II.

I give it a 8, its close, but no cigar, also, Gendo.. it said "Episode II Saber Mod" not "Trilogy Saber Mod".. he WAS aiming for the Ep1/Ep2 look, ok, enough critisizing for me today, and I don't care about my spelling.

[Edit]Some constructive critism, make the glow a bit more bigger, and lower the core size down a bit and you'll be ready to go[/edit]

im not gonna download it cuz i looked at the screenies and it looked like he made the core wider and changed most of the glow to hehe hahhah black but 6 cuz its ur second mod and good for a 2nd 1

Looks great, may I suggest thinning the core slightly and adding a little more glow. Also extend the saber trails... accurate or not I think it looks better with slightly longer trails. Good job, overall... 8

well... it's ok, but I have some suggestions to make it better.....

1. have less white, you can't even tell it's blue. I know that's like the only thing you changed, but you overdid it.

2. Tell me where in Episode II that the sabers look like that.

3. Try to make some new handles. Try Dooku's or Mace's. People would like that (I know I would)

keep it up! it's better than anything I could do.

Even though it looks nothin like episode 2's sabers i think there really cool!!!! It does look a littel bit better in the frst screen shot. but the second screen shot it loks a littel bit wierd. good job changing the saber look.

Just to let you know I finished with the Aotc Total conversion,It wasn't going anywhere fast.(Best of luck to them though)
I apologise for the 1.1 version, It bites!
I will be re-doing some minor flaws in the original.
Like:
-Glow edges being visible
-Core width
-Slighty tapering of the blade
-Colours
Thanx for all your comments.
It won't be released for a while as I'm working nights till after christmas.
