This would be a nice thing to have when you want to run a dual s. match and not worry about someone cheating the system.

BTW, yes unfortunatly, other than the standing stance and the actual saber that everything is the same. Well, if you take away the fact that you have 2 ends you can hit with, but the swings don't take that into consideration.

I cant seem to make the mod work.Does this mod only work with the patched version of the game?Im a bit confused about the installation note.When I unzip the files,
I get 2 files.one file is the pk3 and and the other is the ms.where do I place the ms and where do I pace the pk3?And lastly,how do you access the in-game mod launcher that the readme mentions?Thanks very much to anyone who answers the questions.

someone should make a full lightstaff mod, just add some new animations, swings, and a lightstaff stance or two.

For now, I give it a 3, mostly because HE NEVER SPECIFIES HOW TO RUN THE MOD!!! If anyone (or creator) could respnd by telling us how to operate the double-bladed saber in 1 player, me and others would appreciate it very much. (to designer)If you tell how, I will rate it a 10. Thank you very much.

easy, all you do is put the *.pk3 file in your \base\* folder and then start a server and you have dbl bladed lightsaber.

btw great mod, would be even greater if there were an option in game to toggle between single and double bladed. thats my 2 cents

Just to clear up some of the confusion no one else seems to be picking up on, you can't use the lightstaff in single player. All this patch does is apply /THEDESTROYER to multiplayer games, while bypassing the need to turn cheats on.
And it does that pretty well...I guess...but I agree with the above comment; It'd be nice to be able to just use the /THEDESTROYER command without cheats, rather than have the command already activated and on all the time.

For those that don't understand the Q3 engine:

Instead of instructing people to save the .PK3 to the Base folder, tell them to save it to a specific directory. The Label of the Directory will then show up in the "Mod Menu" where the person can then activate it and start a server. If you intend to join a server with this file, it will D/Led into a direcory on the client computer, of the same name. This alows the players to turn it on and off, as they please.

We knew that, it's just too hard of a hassle to explain. How about someone adding that to the tutorials section so we can just redirect people there?

And PS---It STILL doesn't work in SP. Bah...

i tryed to ad that mod to the game. in the mod setup it was actif. but when i was joining a servergame, i just had still a single bladed weapon. what was going wrong?

This mod is for multiplayer only and its a server side modification. this means that for the mod to work the server must be hosting that mod not just the client.

Good mod. Gave it a 7. Here's what I could suggest for improvement:
Switch between single and double-bladed.
Change animations so you don't look like you're constantly stabbing yourself.
That would make me change my rating to a 9 or mabye a 10

Well, I run three Dedicated servers in Data Centers across the US. And quite frankly, the mod would've been fun had it worked on a dedicated server. Which, myself and two friends, have yet to get working.

The Author really should've specified such information in the readme, or in the first comment on this page.

i have not as of yet tried it on my dedicated server but it worked with a non-dedicated only after banging on the lightsaber key a few times it wasnt immediate to having its effect.

whenever i create a server and play against bots, and they throw their lightsaber at me as soon as it hits me the game locks up. its happened to me 4times in a row, and i restarted my computer each time it happened

o man so that is why i could'nt use it on any server. well can some one make a mod where u can use it with out the server having the double-bladed mod. because that is kinda dumb needing it for the server that has it. no offense

When I start your bat file or use the in game mod launcher and when I create a new game my computer crash!!!!!!!

As for wax_beerman's comment about JO being lightyears behind JK in terms of mods and levels, hasn't anyone bothered explaining to him that JK has been out for six years or so, and therefore the editors have had much more time to learn how to use JED?
