That is really cool, I have DSL and it's happy too, that was the fastest 5 meg d/load I ever done, I like all the levels and hope to play them on the zone soon, I also am going to delete some dumb levels so I can organize my level packs under the Jedi Training levels, and under that will be the 6000 block, (must d/load it, I didn't like 6000's screenshots but TSM_Crownar says it's cool.)

As for level packs, if this keeps up I will only have level packs in my directory, (with the exceptions of: Duel of the Fates by hothrebel, Jedi's Highschool by PeD_HeAd, and Morpheus by Bug, and possibly purgatory, as those levels also have a permanent residence on my (c:) drive)

Keep up the good work and Merry Christmas!

Well, the custom MATs are all great and the level architecture is good but these levels are too small. Jedi Knight Deathmatch? Come off it. Whos gonna play this nonsense when they can play Q3? I dont know about others but I like bigger levels you can become immersed in. This is a pack of sabre-fighting levels. None will tempt me away from the other two Massassi Packs.

ok first of all, the level are good but very dark in almost every section and you can't see. The texture is.. well....i don't know cause u can't see! i have my brightness all the way up too! man! these level are also too small.

Well, i got this level pack. Its cool but there dosent seem to be much ammo anywhere or in any levels(cept the best of the best Dry Heat) And the Castle of snow and lag-oops wind, has a horrible framerate in some areas, wich is too bad because its by far the prettiest of em all. I say this pack is worth the D/L just because of Dry heat and Oy'glah'th. And JK DM???? COMON!! thats what UT and Quake are for!

Nice. . .very nice. I enjoyed all of the levels - great lighting and architecture. Good job to the authors and keep rollin' out the sweet levels.

I don't know how the levels can be dark. They were ok for me. The only places that was dark was the Subway Station tracks, and under staircases but that was it.
And also, gameplay is awesome in most of these levels. I don't see any big reason why its not.

I thought that the Temple of Ice and Wind wasn't good enough to make the pack because of the horrible framrates but thats not to say bug is pathetic level maker because I like his creation of "Morpheus" and other levels. I think it should be replaced by ASF.

Overall, the pack was decent. I give it a 8, very good with a month to make these.

When you guys are talking about the pack, would you mind being more specific than saying "all"? I can't believe that *every* level gave you poor framerate unless you have a really old computer. Is this in fact the case, or were you generalizing?

I think this level pack is awesome. The best 2 levels are Hoodwink and Dry Heat[not saying the others are good but i like those 2 best]. Home Sliced your level had a little lag in some areas but other than that it was good and Bug your level was horribly due to POOR framerate, but all and all the levels were good. Oh yea Stress for a first level i say excellent work, keep up that quality and your future levels will be awesome.

Out of the three level packs, I have to say that this one is the least inspired. I'd rate Hoodwink at the top of the pack with Freelancer's unpronouncable level and Dry heat coming in as a close second. The majority were far too small, such as Death's Dome and Hard Vaccuum. I also don't understand why "Vaccuum" was part of that level's name, but oh well.

I also noticed that some people didn't accredit the places from which they acquired textures. That displeases me, and no, it's not because they were mine. I don't believe any textures of mine were used with the exception of the crate in Home_Sliced's level for which I was credited for. Just use this as a note, it's only fair that you credit where you get your resources.

Well, I thought the pack was decent, but my least favorite of the Massassi Level Packs.

Rated from highest to least favorite-

1) Oy'glah'th- Excellent level, I think this level plays the best out of them all, excellent atmosphere, although the sounds sounded kinda rough.

2) Castle of Ice and Wind- I'm a big sucker for levels in the winter time, and this level's design was very 'Death-match' like, which I enjoy.

3) Hard Vacuum- As long as no force is on, this level is great for saber's and I've had lots of fun playing this. With full force though, one destruction blast hurts a lot of people...=)

4) Death's Dome- When I first ran through this I wasn't that fond of the level, but when you play it with other peeps it really shines.

5) Warehouse- The level is decent, but I didn't have too much fun the several times I've played it as it sometimes get's a bit choppy on my P2 450.

6) Dry Heat- Lots of people like this, and I've probably played this one the most, but it just feels a bit...boxed in? I know there's lots of open spaces, and the architecture and 3do's are outstanding, it's just not my type of a level. Seen too many tunnels like that in JK...=(

7) Hoodwink- Err...don't know why, but this level looks pretty, but is sooo small. I don't want a huge level, but it just seemed too small. *No flames please!*

8) Subway- I thought this level wasn't really MLP3 qualitity. Besides the good 3do's the architecture seemed boxy. Also too many dead ends like someone stated before. While I don't always judge a level by its looks, this one didn't play that great either. *At least the times I've played it*

-------------
*No flames please! We all have our opinions*

I give the pack a 7/10...

demon nightmare, i agree with you on hoodwink... i don't see why everyone likes it so much... it's quite small, plain, and texturing is somewhat weird, i didn't like the overall scheme. I didn't think it played very well either, i'd take death's dome over it any day. My favorite level of the packs looks wise was the castle of ice and wind, but it some insanely low framerates at places. overall my favorite level to play was believe it or not, death's dome. don't ask me why, but it's extremely fun. It's just how i like my levels. open and simple, yet still eye pleasing.

I gave this a 9 because it didn't include a VERY good level (so I think), the Death Star. Death Star was very well built, and is pretty much as good as most of these. Either way, I can still get all of them, so party on!!!

I find most of these levels alright, but not that great. The ones I really liked was the
Castle of Ice and Wind, the only problem with that one was really bad FPS since most of the area he created is not usable( the area around the mountains) and Dry Heat was very nicely done. I found the subway too dark for my tastes. And I found a few of them to be just not that much fun. I'm no level editor and not saying how they should be done, I'm just putting my opinion on them, as most level editors will apprecriate any comments. I Hope I have not offended anyone with this post. Overall I find MLP3 to be alright, maybe with more people in a game it can be more fun.

hard vacuum plays great with 4 people i've found... .full force, destruction does some great damage, makes for high scored games. fun fun.

These levels were really sweet and fun to check out, but frame rate is always hurt in any of the Massassi level packs because they only the ones that are very complex. I can usualy get a frame rate of 20fps on my old P133 if i set the screen res to 400x300 and set my screen size to 5, but even with thses settings i couldn't get a framerate over 15. it just sucks to be me.

This is a place to discuss this level pack, it's merits, and it's shortcomings. It's not a place to discuss whether you think Acid Storage Facility should've been included in this pack. If you want to discuss ASF, go to the ASF page. ASF got maybe one full vote and a partial "if we can't find anything better" vote from the judges. Deal with it. It's not as if you can't just go over and download ASF, so please quit your whining. Further posts on this page regarding ASF will be removed, and the offenders banned. The staff is tired of deleting insults, flames and unrelated comments.

Not exactly.. Stress is his own person, I just used his name to submit Hoodwink, because I wanted an alias, but also didn't want some new guy to pop up out of nowhere with shots of a decent level because that always raises suspicion..

I gave you a 9 because the pack is great. The levels are so accurate, it is amazing. The only thing I find wrong is that the levels, although beautiful, lack color. I like stuff that is very exotic.

Alright look, I remember reading the comments oh say about half a year ago and there were ALOT of people that did NOT like this level pack. am I just thinking wrong? if not im disguested, IF you took out those comments because they were negative, im sorry im not trying to upset anyone but, i find it very difficult to belive that there were no negatory comments. well here's one. this is rancid. could i do better? ofcourse not but i and tons of other faithful JK users expected BETTER from packs 1 and 2 they had much more variety. these tiny little box's have no ammo. whats up with that? what about the hard core gunners? im disguested, i expect better for level pack 4. bye

I only dloaded it for bug's lvl: Castle of Wind and Ice. (i love bug's maps, for the architecture and gameplay in them is what brought me back to this game last year) This map pack (bug's map)got a perfect 10, for it captures the magic the same way one of his other maps: Atlantis. The architecture it very similar in both maps; (which is great :) ) they are both well planned and designed with fabulous gameplay. Bug deserves the credit for making this otherwise *boring* map pack incredible.

by the way black ice39, i cannot see how you can judge a lvl by its framrate, i have one word for you: upgrade. Actually i'll make that ten words: don't use any comp. that is older than this game... hehe.

... Oh, and plasma man, you say that this lvl should have been removed and replaced with ASF becuz of framrate?!?... you insult me... be gone FOOL!! also read my above comment :) and while your at it get a 128mg agp GeForce4, you will never worry about framerate in ANY game again.

P.S. I do believe, however that subway station could easily have been replaced with ASF, but im not a judge, so i better shut up...

I hear you on that; these were some good times. Unfortunately, the number of people who played JK dropped drastically shortly after this pack was released. I never did get to play it much. :( Although playing it with fellow Massassians on 'rotating' mode the following weeks were some of the fondest memories I have of this place.

It's really amazing the connection you feel among even the other authors in the level pack as you play through the levels together. /me comes out of sentimental mode

Anyway, to the one or maybe even two of you who ever read this comment, may you always remember the good ol' days of JK! JK forever! Glad to see you checkin' up on the important stuff, Strike Eagle! :)

This game will always remain with me, i remember back in 97 when i got it for christmas, along with mots, which i always heppened to like more... This game has not only provided me wtih years of entertainment, but spawned an everlasting memory that will last til' death. May this memory be sealed atop a dying game's talent still begging to be unleashed...

JK editing was so lively in its prime that there are still lots of little gems waiting to be found.. the kind of stuff you might have missed the first time around. for example i'm downloading this level pack for the first time right now. i'm sure it'll spark all sorts of good memories as well as create some new ones. i'll never let JK die!
