I've decided to extend the contest deadline a week, so the official deadline is now August 31, 2000. The reason for this change is that I will have access to a faster connection to download and upload the levels after that date, and also that fact that a number of authors have some spectacular levels and need a few more days to finish things off. All levels can be submitted to me using this address: ryan@commandchamber.net. Please note in the subject that it is a contest level submission, and be sure to include the required readme as usual. Yes. We have constructed a completely new game engine for Obi-Wan, and multi-player gaming has been an important design objective. Players will be able to host multi-player games on dedicated servers, and the game should be able to support more participants in a single multi-player game than past LucasArts games (the limit in the past has been 4 players per game over the Internet.) More details to follow.

• In order to keep the face limit down, JED is the preferred editor and not a commercial third-party 3D program.
• If custom mats are used, they cannot be copyrighted (e.g. textures from other games).
• 3do's should be placed in a small level. A textured default box will be sufficient. The box should be .GOB'ed, then .ZIP'ed with one screenshot. The level itself won't be released, just the 3do with its respective textures.

The deadline for the contest is December 1, 2000. Plenty of time.

Additional features
This three-tape set contains the "Special Edition" versions of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. There is also a 10-minute featurette on the making of the next film in the series, Episode II, which is scheduled to arrive in theaters in the summer of 2002.
