Description

Small/Medium Bespin-themed map containing two separate areas linked together by a double-helix-surrounded catwalk. Intended for sized duels as it offers different places which should prove challanging to the duelists, including: spiral stairs, narrow rooms, open spaced platforms, and a double helix walkway. Will fit for smaller FFA and team-based games.

Eh, its alright. Its fun to play with some guns, but with force...there arent enough areas to escape choke, push, or pull. lol.

Pretty good level. I can see it being fun with no force. Heres some things you could work on though.

~I saw a few clipping errors (brushes visibly overlap creating a distracting flash effect) those are a pet peive of mine.

~You made some things destroyable YAY!!! Try making the whole helix destroyable and a few more things :-) I love it when things go boom :-D.

~Make area's people can go to avoid getting thrown off the edge. It really bugs people when that happens.

Otherwise this was a really cool level. Next time just remember what I said and shoot for a little bigger map size and it'll be a winner.

Thanks for the tips!

This map was initially intended to be the graduation level for http://richdiesal.jedioutcastmaps.com/tutorials/gc102conc.html . I figured I would try to release one to see how the whole process works. One major mistake I made was to make the cylindrical building nonsymmetric which caused the overlaps or z-fighting if you like, and the pain of doing the spiral staircase manually =(.

There is one thing a level designer has to take to mind when creating destructables, and that is that if you remove the supporting frame for a destructable the piece would seem floating, something which really crashes the realism. This is the reason why I didn't make the helix completely destructable. Otherwise enjoy and thank you for your tips, it may be some time before i get enough time to release another level.
