Although, just a suggestion, didn't "Big Boss" have an eyepatch and gray hair? Maybe its just me, either way, GREAT skin and model, I once again look forward to your other works.

[Edit]What do LODs do anyway? I know LOD stands for Level of Display or something like that, but what is it for?[/Edit]

I believe Level of Detail means that as the model gets further away from the camera, it switches to a progressively lower-poly version of the model, since you don't need to see all of those polies anyway. Thus having less polies increases framerate.

*Off-Topic* Out of curiosity, could you consider making a red and blue team skin for the MGS1 and Skull Suit Snake you made? They're all great skins but a Red and Blue team skin for those two would be good too.

*OOC* Craig, Big Boss does have an eye-patch and grey hair, but in the up-coming MGS, MGS3: Snake Eater, some people think that you will play as Big Boss, only younger. It's not official yet, though . .

you do play as snake hence the name snake eater i was at the e3 expo any way you get a 10

Posted: 2003-07-04 10:26 a.m.   Report Abuse Matt, its Big Boss in his YOUNGER YEARS, if you had played MGS1, you would've heard over the many cutscenes that he was a soldier in Vietnam I believe, and he was wounded in battle, and then they used his DNA to create SOLID SNAKE and LIQUID SNAKE, therefor Big Boss, in his younger years, would have been identical to Solid and Liquid Snake.

10 from my end as well, good job. And I suggest you listen to the guy above me about the Metal Gear chars, do all them, it'd be awesome and then we could finally get some Metal Gear RPGs going on in the zone :D

Also, if at all possible, could you remake the MGS1 Snake with Stealth Camo? I think that'd make it kind of cool, team support also would be a plus.

still i will say it again this mod kicks 100% ass awsome make more

Posted: 2003-07-05 3:20 p.m.   Report Abuse Because Liquid spent his life in Britain, therefor he has a British accent. Not to mention, if you listen to the mission briefing documentary on MGS1, you'll find out that Snake asks Naomi to give him scissors and something else, so people assume that he cut his hair and dyed it brown so he did not look exactly like Liquid. In the Briefing Documentary, the figure representing Solid Snake has long, light colored hair, so that should clear that up. As for MGS3, I don't care who you get to use, its going to be friggin awesome.

Just for reference, Snake's outfit in the MGS3 trailer had tiger-stripe camo, which was replaced by the newer design your model features.

Posted: 2003-07-06 8:47 a.m.   Report Abuse Craig is right his hair is blond i played the games last night and he changes his hair. because he probably wanted too because he doesnt kno that liquid exists till later in the game. pliskin's first name is Iroquois
which means snake Snake pliskin from escape from L.A and N.Y he explaines it in the game about he took the name from the movies main charecter snake pliskin (kurt russel)

His real name, if you've finished MGS1 with (I think the ending where Meryl dies, I don't know if he says it in both endings) the second ending(read above, Meryl dies) he tells Otacon that his real name is "Dave".

Yes, I AM a metal gear freak, even though I've yet to play the first two games.

Posted: 2003-07-07 7:50 a.m.   Report Abuse Solid Snake doesnt have a name. David HAYTER is his voice actor in the game Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2. But in the entire metal gear solid, on nintendo and other systems, they never mension his name.

Posted: 2003-08-25 2:09 p.m.   Report Abuse Solid snake was the imperfect clone of Big Boss, and liquid snake was the perfect clone, even though liquid though he was the imperfect one, you find all this out at the end of the game when ocelot is talking to the persadent/solidus snake about the MO disc and how the imperfect clone/solid snake did better then the perficed clone/liqued snake. so I think Big Boss would look like Liquid not Snake. BTW I'm I the only one that believes Revolver Ocelot is really Big Boss? If you have played any of the older MG games and the PS1 and PS2 MGS you will pick up on some tiny thing that make you go hmmm like Ocelot lost his arm in MGS1 in MGS2 he has Liquids arm, so the blood type and all would have to patch up that in its self is not to convincing but in MGS1 Ocelot did not get FoxDie but every one else did, they were saying they needed BBs remains so they can cure FoxDie so if Ocelot was Big Boss he would not have a prob with FoxDie. LOL! There's an easy on the net somewhere called The Big Boss Conspiracy, its about how BB did not die but in fact was still active and know as Shalashaka[sp?] or Revolver Ocelot. I'll try to find a URL later. :P
