Description
This is my first SP level! It is about Kyle being woken in the year 2560 (Earth year) and shall fight a new Emperor that wants REVENGE! Why? He wants to avenge all the Dark Jedi before him. Maul, Dooku, Vader, Sidious, Jerec, Dessan, etc.

That said, just from the screenshots, it looks like very bright, stormtrooper infested boxes. But, we'll see if I'm wrong.
Let's sum up:
The Bad:
- The layout, it's horrible
- The architecture, boxy boxy.
- The texturing, all walls have one texture, even when it's a button...
- Enemy placement. En mass.
- Powerup placement. None (but with every new level all your weapons/health would be full again...)
- a dozen of very small levels which had easily could have been 1 or 2
- The jedi-boss didn't fight back... And even if he would've, you are assured to have 30 rail charges at that moment, enough to instantly kill him.
Also there was a really horrible skyflag in the first room.
The Good:
+ A couple of nice cutscenes
+ Some origional ideas and cogs
+ Funny ending
+ The lift made no sense but was pretty funny
The only reason for playing this level would be for the few funny things. The fights are just lame, in most cases you had to stand behind a door, open it shoot some rails, take cover, door closes, repeat.
Or in most cases the stormies would kill each other because they all stood in the way trying to shoot at Kyle who sits behind a door...
Enemies: OK... So I went overboard with the enemies.
Dozen levels: Yeah... Try to think of the loading as intermitions.
Jedi-Boss: Sorry, I didn't include the Level21 COG because there were so many ghosts that had to do with re-heal, search every corner of the room, and so on. But you know, after a few slices with your saber and he'll fight back.
Sky flag: Yes... I used Sky (different type). JKEdit calls it Sky Wall. I know, next time use SKY only for all skies. Wall or cielling.
Hay! Who wants part 2? You will find the address in the TXT.

You try playing this with a res of 640x480 and up on a 200mhz LapTop!

What makes you think it was made in JKEdit?
I used JED! I used to use JKEdit, but all those files disappeared when I heard of JED!
PS.
I'm now sending Part 2 to your door step!
The Good:
~ I loved the Random Stormtrooper Chatter cutscene. I opened it up and played with it a little bit, and now instead of dying/fainting, he smokes for a little while ("Hey, what's that smell? AAAH! Aaargghh, arrgh argh, ow ow, somethings burning"), and then his helmet shoots off with a jet of flame and when the smoke clears the guy is alright but his face is all sooty. The helmet lands in front of you (kinda sorta sometimes) and explodes. Heheheheheheheh.
~ The scene in the ship cockpit was cool. It needed a bit of graphical fine-tuning, though. I liked the map thing.
~ Fun.
~ The ending was completely insane. I liked it.
~ The linear flow was actually kinda nice.
~ I like the huge area with vehicles and crud.
The Bad:
~ Fergoonissake, fix the Emperor! He don't work none!
~ The TIE fighter stealing confused me for a while because it didn't work right away.
~ Make some silly stuff happen while you're riding in the elevator! Run over an Ug fixing some stuff in the shafts, or something! Make interesting things happen when you press the wrong button! The elevator ride was an easy way to squeeze in a few odd jokes, and it ended up just being boring.
~ Every so often, the game flips out and goes to the menu right after you jump into the PORTAL THING WOOWOO.
The Ugly:
~ Stuff wot shouldn't stick through stuff stuck through other stuff that stuff can't be stuffed through (thing were poking through walls).
~ That map-on-the-wall thing near the lift was icky.
~ Your cockpit was transparent where it should be black. Don't draw in pure black and it won't happen again.
All in all, strangely good. Encore.

Thats why I assumed you were using Jkedit. Sorry for any hard feelings...

[Again, transparency!]
]All in all, strangely good.
[Encore.] [I will!]
I have to split that bit off from the rest of the level, first, because otherwise it's all strange and funklified.
[Where?]
The one where the troopers who are in the cutscene are at.
[Sorry, I thought people knew that Open door was the same as activate. And also it said when you came in BUT FIRST I HAVE TO GET TO THAT DOOR THERE!]
The problem is that he didn't say that. I went in the door anyway, saber-slashed the thing, went back out, hit Activate on the TIE a few times, went back in the door, slashed around more, hit Activate on a few things, came back out, danced around on the TIE some more, retraced my steps back through the level, came back to the TIE, and stood on it for a moment. Then everything caught up, he spoke about the door, and it did what it was supposed to.
[Sorry, MATMASTER remaped all black colors to transparency.]
That's why you should either:
~ Tell it to map a DIFFERENT color for transparency (easy)
~ Go back and change all the black to something else. As long as it's not perfect black, it'll be fine. See, perfect black is 0 red, 0 green, and 0 blue. If you add, say, 1 blue, it looks just as black but Matmaster won't mess with it.
Well, you see, I used PAINT and when I try to add 1 to a color, there is no difference when painting. Not until MUCH later did I decide to install PSP. MUCH BETTER.

Hm... That IS a problem! Wait! Aha! You have to press yourself against a solid part of the tie! But yes... Maybe I should allow you to escape once you touch it!

Well... Just send the thing to edward@leuf.org when done.

Not that Edward seems crazy to read his comments here, but that was actually my thought when I was playing the level.
You have one off the wall sense of humor, Edward, that's all I hafta say. Not that it's a bad thing. it's good to see someone having fun with JED.
However, I had to rate it so low because of the boxy simplicity (funny or not, it isn't that fun to play), and because I haven't the foggiest how to finish the first level. There's this TIE fighter, and a door next to it. It says you hafta go in the door. I do. I go everywhere inside, and there is nothing to do in there. But I can't end the level cause it keeps saying go in the door first!
Anyway, nice first effort. I see this was released this year. Keep up the good work. With some practice, you and that sense of humor could become a JK editing great...don't give up on JK! There are too few new JK levels out! :(
