Well, they're Reborn reskins. What can I say? It looks like a different colored Reborn. It's decent, but not outstanding.

Why don't you try giving Reborns a different face? That would be interesting.

Well for lack of creativity I don't enjoy this much..I'll give it a 2 for switching the colors of the skin and making it look tolerable. I'd say if you wanted to do this you should use a few colors that complement each other and contrast (not too much though) and make it a little more exciting..not just one plain color.

Posted: 2003-02-26 8:16 p.m.   Report Abuse Just so everyone knows, guard6pack and reborn6pack are my first attempts at skinning. I didn't use any fancy modeling or skinning programs, just Macromedia Fireworks. All I did was recolor the skins (there are six different colors in each skinpack: dark red, dark blue, teal, purple, green, and gold). The guard model was originally created by Eric Landreneau, who was gracious enough to give me permission to use his model in a project (much thanks!). Anyhow, check out the diffent skins (you may like some of them better than others). I know I didn't do much to alter the skins, but it took me a while to figure out how to use fireworks and how to compile the skins. These are for everybody to enjoy, and I appreciate any feedback you might have, positive or negative (as long as it's constructive!)...

Posted: 2003-02-26 9:35 p.m.   Report Abuse You did a nice job on the recolours (on both packs), but Reborn skins in general suck. Choose a different model next time if you can't make your own, and good luck on your next skins.

I like the ideas about changing the face and using complementary colors (kinda like the reborn boss did). Anyhow, I would like to continue skinning, what models do you all suggest? I lack the know-how to create my own...

Posted: 2003-02-27 1:00 p.m.   Report Abuse For models? It depends on what you feel like making the skin..you know.like themed or a specific character. I don't know any specific models off of the top of my head but I'm sure if you look around you'll find some good ones (I wouldn't really reccomend any LEC ones). Remember to be different and unique when you skin..that's what most people look for. Also, if you think you have enough understanding of it, try ot create new and exciting models. Try using a mandalor model maybe? Can't have enough of those! Maybe some model no one ever uses and spice it up and make it look awesome. Be creative and use your imagination..and if your idea is a flop then just try again and try to make it kicka**. I think with some practice you'll do fine though! Keep at it!

Posted: 2003-02-27 3:47 p.m.   Report Abuse That might work..but make sure if you give him cammies ot jut makes his clothes cammies..all the other details should be different colors..for example the jetpack...make it a rusted look or a old metal type of look..lil details like that are what really make a skin..you kno..and the boots,belt,armpads, and such are different colrs..but yea that would be awesome!! Try it and see how it comes out! )getting me excited now)
