The Platform

The Massassi Temple » Levels/Mods » Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level » The Platform

Description

This level is quite simple, really. It is made up of only one landing pad with two prongs extending off each side. It's great as a testing ground and for duels. It should be a good fun with lots of people as well because if you fall off the platform you're cast into space!

If I wanted a level like this, I could probably make it faster than the time it took to download. Seriously, a level needs to have a lot more thought and effort put into it than this to be good... You could have at least made new 3dos instead of using existing ones.

Ack, this doesn't even deserve a five! It's just three already existing and overused 3do's in a tall box textured with stars, and no lighting.

Sorry man, you have to put in MUCH more effort.

4 because I believe it is his first level.

Level has a good layout for small saber fights, only thing is it looks just like all other levels appearence wise. You got a good feel for layout, but you just gotta have some kind of theme to your levels man, no mater how small. Looks like this is one of your earlier maps, so just keep at JED and you'll figure out how to do all kinds of things man.

"It's great as a testing ground" - ?
A simple dflt box would be as great.

Well, I think/hope this is your first level. I would understand, if it wasn't that great... but that thing is a box with two LEC 3dos!

I don't know why people do stuff like that, but since my first try with JED was some huge space box with a lot of starships in it I kinda understand it. Still there's one difference: I DIDN'T RELEASE IT! You can't release boxes with standard 3dos in it, it's just... dumb.

How long did it take you to make that? Since it seems to be your first level I'd say about 20 Mins (all the idea and stuff included)? That's just not right.

Next time, try some archi with lighting...

"Today's showcase featuring The Platform............and....uh..The Platform!!" See where I'm getting at? Needs alot of work but it has some potential..maybe a few other platforms you can jump onto or some place the platform leads to? Dunno...just kinda a general level with little or no added detail....now detail isn't everything..but also gameplay...gameplay was alright..but it would be better if you had more to work with..dueling is great but it can get boring with the same space over ad over again..but ya never kno..maybe if you make another one like this you can add a little more exciting things to it. Like they say.."If at first you don't succeed...TRY TRY again". Good attempt..simpleness can be good at times.

Perhaps if the prongs rotated...

-That's about all I have to say.

It's a box, and you put some 3dos in it. No effort or skill involved. You get a 0.

I think this level delivers exactly what it says. The platform. It would be good for dueling, to test people of and whatnot. It says right in the desc. that the whole thing is just a platform, with two side pieces. Yes, its simple, but thats the point.

Well you could have put 0 gravity in the level to make it like you realy were in space.
