Description
This is a small multiplayer level based on the single player level, where you fight boc. It consists of 1 main area which has catwalks above it and lots of guns. There is a tower looking over the whole arena which is good for sniping, and an area designed for saber dueling. This level is intended for 2-4 players. Being so small, this level should provide for some fast and furious gameplay.

Architecture: 4
This is a remake, so no real new architecture is required; however, the author included a new area that is very blocky. There also was one major bug: the walkways overlapped, and caused the surface to flicker on all the edges.
Textures: 4
So-so texture choice, but there are a few problems. First of all, a lot of textures are misaligned. Next time, use the stitch function (I’m not sure how to do it in JkEdit). Also, the jump pad suffers from a colormap error. Otherwise, fairly good texture choice.
Gameplay: 6
The major problem of this levels gameplay is it’s excessive high power weapons. You have about 10 concussion rifles in the main room, which are easy kills. Next time use more rail detonators instead if you want that kind of gameplay, as they have less splash damage and require more skill. I did like the idea of having a jump pad in the middle, and it worked perfectly with the slanted walls and walkways.
Lighting: 7
The lighting is the same as the original level, except for the new area, and it is a little bland, mostly using sector lighting.

Since this is you first level, I am adding 3 to your final score.

I agree they don't look great compared to something on the same level as Dralloc. BTW, it IS the architecture from the original, just no core in the middle.
I think a better job could have been done if it hadn't been by a newcomer to jed. Trust me my first levels would make this look like Drazen in comparison, but I got good, keep trying Lee.
I'll give you an 10, I agree with myst's review and to bring up your average after a complainer rated it bad.
PS dude, try JED, JKedit is scary... no really, I tried it and had a nightmare that I was trapped in a dflt.mat box.... hehe
It's a retextured LEC map. In my mind, that's no different than the multitude of Oasis remakes...
There wasn't anything noteworthy done to the map to make it unique. The lighting was choppy and jagged; the texturing had many stitching errors.
And the floating heads? In all honesty, placing a handful of 3dos in a decent map doesn't warrant anything special.
I'm not going lower than a 4 because this is a first map. But honestly, why do people ignore the old saying, "don't release your first map?"
Due to the fact that I have NEVER in my entire time here, checking the page every couple days, seen more than 10, if any positive comments on levels not your own. This level does have its bad points, but dude, your uptight analysis is redundantly harsh, I think I should make an amendment to what I said prior to your comment, I believe people should keep it to themselves if it is either redundant, rude, overly harsh, or just plain badmouthing. If someone has already stated it, rudely or politely, don't repeat it just to be harsh on the author.
I don't hate you or anything but dude, there are too many people here who have nothing good to say, I did that a lot too, I dunno why I stopped but it doesn't hurt to not insult peoples work whenever the opportunity arrises.

Forget all the badmouthing commentators and just keep workin at it. I made at least 5 levels before I released one. It just took the right idea for me to keep working on it, as most of my levels were never finished.

what, like all your q3 remakes? :)
It looks okay, and for a first crack, I'll give it a 7. That's a passing grade :D.
As for the never release your first level thing. Please define first level. I mean, my first level was a box. The first level that anyone played with me was Starport CTF, which I'll admit isn't great. I'd rate it around a 6, but people play it. Mormegil's first level was fusion which in my opinion is the best CTF level ever made.
