The Tomb of Souls
The Massassi Temple » Levels/Mods » Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level » The Tomb of Souls
Description
This is a medium-large sized Multiplayer level intended for 2-6 players. It is set in a sand-filled tomb where not everything is as it seems. Keep your eyes open for subtle clues that may lead you to very rewarding secrets. This level was intended for SABERS ONLY. No weapons of any kind can be found in this level. It is also of extreme importance that you use either GotG(ME), SBX, Spork or any other mod containing a grapple for the sake of being able to access all of the secret areas. A TON of work has been put into this level, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Wow, i love the fire.
Great level, i can see 4 or 5 games using this level at the zone at 1 time.
--------------------------------------------------
Grrrr if anyone had the level maybe i could try it out, bah time for a game by myself
First of all, i'd like to say that im very displeased with one of the rooms. The room where you must open the big slab door, and the torches above. Well in that room, it's a EXACT replica of one of the rooms in the game "Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine" If i knew how to post pics i would. At first i was like, hmmm this seems familiar. But i figured it was nothing. Then i looked to my left and saw the stair thingies...that's where i was like, maybe it just looks the same...but i hopped up the stairs and sure enough! there was a square pool of water, just like in the game. So then i was almost positive till i looked on the right side and saw rock that was broken everywhere, this too was in the game. Then i realised where those torches were was in the game, u had to use ur rope to swing off little pegs by the torches. And the last clue was the door, that door was there too. That mission in the game Indian Jones was like the volcano or something..Anyways dont deny it, you copied that room. :(
Pros:
The texturing is very very nice. I especially liked the sand and hyrogliphics.
The architexture was astounding
The wrecked pillars were a nice touch.
Cons:
The author made it sound like there were many secrets although i only could find 3, of course there could be more.
Even though i have cable, and downloaded this fast, for 56kers out there i feel really sorry for. I honestly and truly dont understand how this level could be 5.4 mb..it could be the torches..I dont know but it didnt seem like a 5.4 mb level to me.
The rooms seemed to be a bit small for dueling.
Bugs:
When you open the doors in the water u get a HOM effect
In the room with the killing light, when u first walk in, turn right, go to the fire thingy and look up, u will see that a ceiling texture does not match.
The revive energy thingy that it sits on is not flagged as floor.
DBF_SuperSaiyan's Recap.
-The level is good if you have cable and if you want some fast and furious gameplay for sabers.
-SBX RECCOMENDED,or grapple mods, you cant get out of some places without them.
-3d Acceleration, if you dont have it, this lvl aint for you.
-And if ur into egyption levels with puzzles have fun!
-If you like "Indian Jones and the Infernal Machine" One of the rooms is just for you :)
My Rating: 8
Concerning the HOM in the treasure room, (the underwater room) that was mentioned in the readme. It doesn't HOM for me, but I have no doubt that it would for people without fairly recent video cards.
The large file size is due to the HUGE amount of 16bit textures in this level. And for those of you on 56k's complaining about downloading this, I submitted it at 1.2k/s, so I know your pain.
The file size is cos of all those coins :p
*10*
I love to see levels with terrain that is varied - such as when you spawn into the level and walk down into the first room. The broken pillars really add to the effect. If you want to play a level where you feel like you're fighting like in a movie - get this one.
Great work.
This level is a 10. Great textures, good lighting, and nice overall atmosphere.
