I think he DOES have a 3d card, just a bad one.

I give this a 6. It's okay, but a better name might've been "Sand with puddles and grassy catwalks".

Yes the grassy catwalks do look kinda out of place considering its a desert but the title says THRIVING desert so The grass goes along with the title, over all a decent level the catwalks give it a Duel of the Fates (Star Wars Episode I)feel which I like in a saber level also is kinda like BGJ in a sense which I also like. Thanks for the 3-d fx card suggestions. I'm hoping to get one for christmas. Maybe when I do, I'll fix this one up, add some stuff, and release it as a special edition.

bah! ur all wrong, save up 3.5 grand and buy the 256 megabyte nah, but thats a tad pricy, love to have one though cept the fact it would be useless for another 3 years since there arent even any programs out that have the option for resolutions up in the 8000's. My suggestion, go ahead and aim cheap, a cheaper card is about just as good as a Geforce3 because there aren't any programs that run above 32-bit out there to begin with. All that extra money just runs into buying better support drivers. Paying $300 for a Hercules Prophet Card is useless, first off, the geforce 3 is a better driver set and second off, its just too powerful, same as the geforce 3. You wont see anything different with that then any other 32-64+ meg holder will. Now if I were honestly in your posistion, id put out for maybe a cheap 64 meg card, say a Rage Fury Max. Driver support makes it hard to bump the FPS over 40 but who cares? Humans can only perceive 24.

Ok , as for the level, its better then your other ones, so I guess ill give it a better score.

Still very boxy, and btw, that stone texture should be rotated 90 degrees (if you know anything about rock which I know plenty (Rock climber) then youd know the ripples former to the way the water attacked it. By the look of your level it was from above (rain) so the textured ripples must be verticle. The grain always travels horrizontal too, which is another reason it is off. )

Hey! the level was... OK. Just boxy, and... THERE WERE NO GUNS! Heh heh, you must excuse my little out burst, I love big guns...

Other than that, there were no 'bugs' that I can see.

Zero-G, you are VERY VERY wrong. It has been proven over and over that most humas can percieve up to 85, and some up to 120. Lots of people think you can't percieve past 24 because movies run at 24 and movies are smooth. This is because when your watching a movie in a theatre, the frames are instantly refreshed. On a TV or monitor, it's refreshed by replacing each pixel, VERY quickly. This is why 24 FPS in a movie is smooth, but 24 FPS in a game is choppy. When you get into framerates of 60+, as 3dfx used to advertise (their cards would get 60 FPS max, ex: Voodoo 2), motion blur is created. This makes the animation and movement A LOT smoother.

I'd post a link to an article on it, but I can't find one right now.

If you want a good, but cheap video card, get a GeForce 2 GTS. Don't bother with the GF2 MX series, those are crap.

I agree with Emon, and you REALLY need to get a better graphics card!!

Humans see at 23 FPS, and most people cannot distinguish past 72 (although it varies for each person). Refer to Real-Time Rendering (Moller and Haines) for more on the subject..

The level itself wasn't all that great, but I found this to be a good training level for me and my friends. I appreciate this level. Thanks for making it.
