Posted: 2001-12-17 5:48 p.m.   Report Abuse oh come on. You could've at LEAST made it look like it snowed. I've seen snow before, and it's at LEAST an inch high, you should have put the falling snow cog thing in it.

I give you a 5 for intelligence (it's winter, so u think 'snow'), and since I live in florida, it doesn't snow here, so thank you for bringing me some.

Posted: 2001-12-17 6:13 p.m.   Report Abuse This has been done before. I think this is the 3rd winter canyon oasis mod ive seen. Making Levels like these are fine to practice editing but please dont release them. It is much easier and much more fun to just go play CO then to go get a bunch of people to spend thier time downloading a level that is almost the same and then play. I have released some crappy levels a while back on impulse but please try and look over your levels and make sure its something people will want to play.

Dont let this discurage you from editing.

looks like it takes place on a ship though, with the way the sky is moving like that...

you SHOULD have made the ground a bit higher though, so it'd seem like it's snowed over.

try making some 'scrap' levels, meaning, use the tutorials, try the catwalks one, as that applies to 'outdoor buildings'.

ANywho, a give it a one, because it needs at leats one point for you having the courage to submit it. Retexturings are always the most popular levels... try making one of your own work.
Keep on editing.

Posted: 2001-12-17 7:08 p.m.   Report Abuse Let me give you a free lesson. People like Jedi Knight because there's a lot of variety in level choices and mods. I'm afraid they don't like playing the same level with slight modifications.....over...and over...and over....again. This goes out to all of the people in JK wonderland who want to re-make LEC levels. 1.) Don't just change a little thing about it and release it. 2.) Have others test it if you THINK it's a better version than the original to get their opinions. 3.) If you're gonna re-make it, make it better. Smooth the architecture out, make better textures, make some more noticable additions to the level, and think of a more creative name (don't use blank oasis, or oasis blank, or oasis in blank time) you don't have to use the original name of the level. Example: Another good name for Canyon Oasis could be The Water Hole. Ya get what I'm saying?

If you make a Oasis MOD plz put a portal to BGJ or another lvl and make it christmasy too.
This lvl does own but pple are sick of Oasis Mod so they go being jerks about it.

While i am not d/ling this, can you PLEASE stop sing that snow pack OVER AND OVER? I think i speak for many when i say we need new snow mats. The problem is, no one will make them. BTW, I personally prefered CO in the Winter. However, considering it IS a first level, I give you a *drum roll*7, for even TRYING to get snow to fall *_*
