Description

Achieve balance with a lightsaber—the strongest and most simple Jedi weapon. Fight with finesse using a lightstaff—nearly as strong as the lightsaber yet twice as deadly. Fend off opponents from afar with an extended saber—twice as much range as a lightsaber although the least powerful. Whichever weapon you choose, remember that a Jedi's spirit lies not within the weapon, but within oneself.

I hope you decided to put in a toggle to disable glowsaber trails. Because in my experience, and the experience of many other players with SBX for JK 1.0, anything more then 4 people on a average MSN Zone game causes much lag especially with a 56k host. =|

Otherwise this sounds interesting so im off to download this as I type. :)

I'll have to argue on that one and say that JK's netcode is at fault =) The same thing happens in normal games, pretty much.

Hmm you make a good point thier =) JK's netcode is so "old" nowadays lol. Perhaps you should consider making a release of SBX that doesn't use Glowsaber technology, so that those with poor connections/computers/video cards etc can have all the benefits of this excellent mod.

Well here is 2.0 of what many people think is the greatest saber mod ever made for JK. Let me just say that this mod rocks. It was great to play test just as it was play testing Shadow's other mods. Great job Shadow thanks for all the work and for my skin of course.

Yeah my clan mate got to beta test it, Exaur Kaun and now its out. Oh yes that vadar skin rocks in fact everything about this mod just oozes polish. This was definatly a well thought out and well planed mod no doubt. i really like how the force powers can be toggled since i never really needed to use force sight or force speed for a very long time there for wasting alot of mana. This definatly is the best saber mod out there.

Its a ten no doubt. I just hope your 2.0 for MOTS version has that grapling hook in it. After all in Star Wars ANH(A New Hope) Luke had a grapling hook. Oh hey e-mail me at zatar46@hotmail.com

This is the mod that opens up JK again. I consider it a dragging-up-to-date for an old and tired game.
If the fun has gone from JK, this injects it right back in there.
This is a MUST HAVE for anyone with an interest in authentic Star Wars action.
I'd give it an 11/10 but the system doesn't allow it. So 10/10.
This mod I consider the saviour of Jedi Knight.
Who cares about JK2!?

probably my most favorite features are:

the lightstaff is held correctly, instead of being held dramatically close to the privates

The lightsabers don't need to be swung to cause damage.

Savage X, this is (quite possibly) the best sabering mod available. I love the new swings, there are some nice gun tweaks, and the force control change is very useful. If 11 was a choice, I'd enter that!

Yes the net code must be old I play a game called battlezone amazeing graphics was made in 98 And lag Dosent Exist Theres Warping But thats VERY rare Plus You get First Person Action And 3rd person and You get To Use Hover tanks ;) Shadow X Is The Best Saber Mod editor I look forward to MoTs 2.0

Wow. Simply amazing. A bunch of new MP skins (I think, I never played the other SaberX mods). This is truly magnificent. I did find a few...side effects though.

When you walk backwards and twirl the double bladed lightsaber, everything on your right arm, elbow down twirls. It's as if his right arm, elbow down, is not connected.

The hands were black. Why? Just curious.

My Force power seemed to drain fast, even when I wasn't using the Force. I would go get Force points or whatever, and it woulnd't help because it drained instantly. This happened in level 13 (it started out ok, but around half way into the level, it went down hill.)

But this is still a 10. And one of the few mods I will keep on my PC. Excellent, excellent mod. If anyone gives this below a 7, they deserve to be shot.

I think Massassi should be commended for posting this mod so quickly. Also - I wish to thank ShadowX for including some of my skins in the mod. It's a true honor to have them in this incredible mod.

By the way - what's the name of the level where the above screenshots were taken?

I'd like to thank Shadow for his amazing work on this mod. Its made this game fun for me again, and its a brilliant piece of eye candy. The saber effects are great and the evasion key spices the game up alot more. Also thank you shadow for placing my skin(s) in the mod, its much appreciated.

I feel a tad guilty posting here, as I havent tried your mod, though I can assure you if I had JK installed, I would :)

great mod, much better than the last.

my only beef w/ this version is that you have to find the lightstaff, in DOTF SE its kinda hard to find one.

An obvious 10! It's not about normal sabering vs. SBX sabering, it's about mundane stick fighting vs. the way sabering should truely be.

I really think we are on to something here. SBX has revolutionized JK forever, changing it from that stupid Z swing over and over to furious, action-packed battles, which in my case, floats my boat. The only thing I think you definitely have to add to make this mod better are the twin sabers (two sabers, one in each hand). I think Eah_Clown and some people should join forces and create one hell of a good mod, featuring anything and everything. I am definitely looking forward to SBX 3 if there is going to be one.
P.S.: Start including these in single player levels, all of you out there.

::sighs:: Awesome mod...spectacular...beautiful...except one thing...

When I first saw the mod was out I was..yes..excited. I looked at the screenshots..became even more excited and..hopeful. For one the sabers looked sweet. Second..the skin. I was hoping that the skin for single player had been changed to that. Im tired of regular Kyle..hes so boring and in my opinion looks stupid with the cool new sabers. I liked the skin in the pic because he was wearing black robes and looked like a badass. Dont get me wrong this is a kickass mod. One of the best. The moves put the ones in Spork to shame(no offense to the creators of spork. It will always be my favorite). I gave it a ten since it was spectacular. I just wish it had that cool skin in the pics.

THE BEST SABER MOD EVER!!! Although, it's a little laggy on the MSN Gaming Zone.. (And I don't believe that, like some people said in earlier comments, that it's JK's netcode) Other than that, GREAT! Keep up the good work!!

This is my over-all favorite mod to date, the only thing I didn't like about it was that in some levels you have to find the lightstaff. Oh yeah, Zippy, the lightstaff replaces the bowcaster.

I think this Mod is real good. You should not have made the long saber though. It is totally worthless. If you make a 3rd SBX leave out the long sab and make a hot key to pull out saberstaff instead of using number 5. I like number 5( the bowcaster) So just do that

One thing... It was good, you just should change the force powers and how that works. They were messed with and deprived it a bit. I also think you should add more sabers, like a throwable one (i've seen it done out of MotS)that returns, maybe make a 3 bladed saber (seen one, but it sucks) add more colors besides those,make the big one more powerful, or 2 sabers to use at once.

this mod rocks! just 2 things tho:

1. When using the lightstaff/sithsaber or the long lightsaber, it can get pulled...

2. not really a big thing but... when u cut off ppl's arms, they bleed. is that supposed to happen? a lightsaber's energy blade is supposed to be so hot that blood will get fried so it wont come out...

I give it a 10! Excellent work! And please, stop calling him SavageX! SavageX is one of the best editors for JK around, but please give credit to the correct person!

About that pullness on the staff and long saber - I think it's supposed to do that.

And about the blood? Well a lightsaber actually emits no heat at all, but the energy blade will immediatly cauterize a wound and prevent bleading. In fact, if a guy stood still, and you whiped your saber right through him (this is all hypathetically speaking) chances are he wouldn't fall apart or bleed. The wound would probably recauerize and melt together, and then he would probably die from pain in about 2 seconds :) Anyhow, even if it's not realistic to the SWU, it still looks cool.

This is the best saber mod EVER, but i personally think you messed up the force big time.

The turning on and off is a good idea but it eats so much mana from speed that you have nothing else to do. I sorta liked that it would run out so i could type to others and not worry aout my mana. This also makes deadly sight a great force (maby better then you would have wanted) but hey they gave up force jump.

1 distruction at a full mana bar makes mutli player games so bad since the person with the surge always gets the kills.

With no conc, the gun games are basicly slow moving projectiles while you can avoid things really fast with the kick/evasion button.

BTW the long saber is the best, in ffa's the goal is to have the last hit on someone, so a saber that is pure accuracy is great since you never care about damage there.

Shadow I still think you should've swapped the damage values of the Ext and double sabers...after much playing, I think the lightstaff is sorta cheap.

This mod is great! I've been downloading every release you put out, and it certainly has changed this old game. But I have to agree with other comments that the lightstaff is just a little cheap. Now people are just running as fast as they can, running into you, and holding down the slash key, and most of the time you can't really block what they throw. I don't mean to sound negative, this mod is the best I've ever played, but maybe you could add a little more to the blocking system. I always wanted to be able to block someone's attack and throw them off balance, and then counter attack, if that's an idea. The lightstaff moves and everything were extremely well done, but unfortunately i guess the priority with them is so high that people just role around on the ground real fast, run in circles, and with little skill cut you to pieces. Fighting with just the normal saber seems almost like a disadvantage. But enough complaining, you're hard work has created a great mod. Keep up the good work.

Well, the mod is awesome, but I do have some problems with it.

1. The most annoying part for me, being a FFer, is the fact that force powers continuously drain mana until you turn them off. VERY annoying.

2. You start out with the Saber, and the Staff, but ya have to find the extended saber. This doesnt bother me much, but it would be nice if you started with em all.

Thats about it. It mightve been nice to have a different sound for the saber cutting through walls, etc, but not needed.

I gave it an 8. :)

a lightsaber does not "immediatly" cauterize a wound. for example in ANH when obi-wan cuts off ponda's arm, there is blood. and in TPM blood splatters when obi-wan cuts darth maul in half. so to say that there is no blood is a contradiction to star wars fact.

Someone suggested getting clown to help. No. He is leader of a hacking clan and it shows in his mods by the way they lean away from the SW universe.
I know the author isn't taking suggestions but like everyone else I'm gonna post em. More blocking WHILE your swinging Somekind of rear block to block swings at your back. An overhead slash and 2 sabers (Although I think you said you can't do it cause of trails?)
Look at the saber x style. There is little or no hype saying how good the mod is. They just bring it out quickly quietly. They hardly ever mention things like new firing animation and other features. 1 More thing replace concuss with lightstaff instead because I really like the bowcaster.

First off, I'd like to say that this mod kicks and I gave it a 10. Excellent double lightsaber animations! I've played ALOT of mods with a double-lightsaber and this is the best one I've ever seen. I like how you made the lightsaber a part of the game like they're doing with JK2 but is there anyway you can make it more JK2-ish instead of sparks because it is a nice feature (especially if someone is sneaking up on ya while ur AFK) but the sparks don't look realistic when you compare it to the movies.

Here is a few things that you should put:

1. Put the extended lightsaber in just like you did with the double bladed saber so you don't have to play a gun level to play a saber game and have people start being cheap with rail det.
2. I know you can turn off the force mana, but when you're playing a big level and you want force speed so you can get there faster instead of turning it off, waiting, turning it back on and then repeating that just to get there so I suggest try to make speed have a single amount of force mana be used like in the regular JediKnight (if possible) but the rest force powers are ok for your modification.
3. Get a few more SW guns to use so that you aren't stuck with the normal JK guns in such an awesome saber mod
4. (not really needed) A new animation on the primary fire of the regular lightsaber would be cool
5. Any chance of a front roll that replaces a weapon like oh say... detonator or strifle?
6. Release more!

That's just my suggestions tho. :)

Just FYI on the blood/lightsaber topic, a lightsaber when it cuts through a body part would most likely not be like the sword in Sleepy Hollow that scorches the cut part and "seal" it up but rather it would probably just do a little scorching so that blood wouldn't exactly fly/squirt (the blood in Episode 1 didn't splatter, it was just an odd gas type of thing) but there would still be blood. Err, I hope that's not too gruesome for anyone.

Great all around mod, getting rid of the conc. rifle was a good deal. But there are some MINOR things that kinda bug me. 1. The fists being black, there may be some characters who would like a black fist (me for one) but some people just don't like it. 2. The evade button while you jump and then kick it looks kind of weird, perhaps some kind of jump kick? 3. I have been killed so many times by the kick, it would be nice if you could saw their leg off or make it so they cannot block while kicking, otherwise I have seen people sit in a corner and just kick making it somewhat difficult (but not impossible) to kill them. The Force powers, I must say bravo on the change, making Force so you can toggle it should have been an ability from the start. But I must say, this is quite the mod, and I do believe this is the closest thing we can get to JK2 Outcast, if anything comes near it.

Oh yes! How good is this! I love the double ended saber, it is fantastic. Back + Normal Saber slash does that great spinning saber move. It would be better if you couold block strikes while doing that or at least change the block animation to the spinning saber. Not too sure about he extended saber, it needs some more unique moves. I think that the sabers should not be pullable and you should start with them. I love the flying kick and the new firing anim. Nice work ShadowX ig ive you 10/10!

I don't know why people are saying the sabers are pullable because they aren't. Perhaps you're loading old non-SBX2 SP save files.

Just a couple comments:

1.Why are you complaining about gun games? This is SABER Battle X. If you want to play a gun game, don't turn on the patch.

2. About the lightstaff being cheap; it only takes minimal skill to defeat an opponent who uses the same tactics repeatedly. I'm a normal saber user while ShadowX and a lot of the other guys I play with are lightstaff users. It's not cheap, and it can be beaten.

3. Why does everyone pesist in typing suggestions? ShadowX doesn't want to work on this anymore. He's done. He won't implement anything you say. As for double sabers, implementing those would have required multiple versions of every skin and made the mod a HUGE download. And if you thought the lightstaff was cheap...

Just one beef ShadowX, I'm not sure if I'll be able to enjoy Jedi Outcast to its fullest now that you've made JK so good.

I thought this mod was great. I have no problems with it what so ever. Being that I am mainly a saberist, this mod was very welcome. It is probably the best one out there. It made me delete SPORK and Guardians of the Galaxy of my comp. Thanks for making this great mod.

One of the thing I don't like is that multiplayers gamers use too much lightstaff , but , it's still ok!
The idea of choosing saber colour is good , the movements are good , all is good!

This mod is the best out there... Nothing more..
Only some suggestions: (ShadowX(or anyone else), please make a sequel... it's gonna rule!!)
-Drop the extended lightsaber, it's just the same as the normal..
-Put in a twin saber mode (I don't care if the mod's going to be HUGE, if possible, make a weapons patch and skin pack to decrease the file size then)
-Add some sort of toggle for Lightstaff/normal saber..
-Make the bowcaster available again, but leave the conc out...
-Please make a sequel.. I loved this version so much I can cry!!

Hello, Shadow X. I am a friend of several of your beta testers, including, MunkyTheFunky. I have played this mod back and forth up and down, and side ways. I have to say this is the best sabers MOD that has ever been created. I know you said you were not taking suggestions, but me and 15 or so of my friends have a request. Its not a large request, just a improvement request. I have played many mods, and have decided the one thing that truly makes me happy with a MOD is two grappling hooks. As in the Mod EWP (Explosive Weapons Pack). The ability to grappling hook is aewsome! Two Grappling hooks gives you the ability to hang on with one while firing another. You can get in extremly cool positions to be on the lookout for people. Im not asking for another full version of Saber Battles X, but just perhaps, and add on patch that would work with the current SBX 2.0. That way you could also have normal battles. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK Shadow X we are all looking to you for the best MODs. I give this MOD a 10!!

Okay its not the best one of them. Its pretty much the same as the last one except the adding of the ligthstaf and extended ligthsaber. But is this mod really supposed to remove the Bowcaster and Caucousson rifle?

Don't insult me like that, Mor5ives. So the *only* difference in SBX2 is the lightstaff and extended lightsaber, huh? Have you ever read SBX-JK v2.txt? There's just as many new things listed under v2.0 as there are in v1.0, if not more. Besides, do you think it's easy to make all-new attack animations or something? Damn, why don't I just make a saber that splits in four and screws your pooch, too? By the way, what is the "best of them" to you, anyway?

RANT TO OTHERS: Who else read the SBX-JKv2.txt anyhow? About 60 people have asked me how to do moves and reported known bugs. On another note, I appreciate the [repeated] requests to add things like dual sabers which are twin sabers you hold in each hand, in other words, one normal saber per hand which you can swing using two sabers at once. I also appreciate the requests to use individual sabers you hold seperately in each of your hands, that can be used in *ALL* new *PAINSTAKING* animations that I can slave to make to please you so you can use dual sabers that are also known as twin sabers or one saber per hand. Oh, did I forget to mention using two lightsabers at once? Don't forget the utilization of two sabers for two hands, since you only have two hands to use two sabers. Two sabers. Dual sabers. Twin sabers. Yeah! Make them for me now! Don't forget to make twin sabers!!! I won't be 1337 without those dual SaberZ, biZatCh!! H00X UP a d00d wid some dat twin SabErZ shiznitz, 0k? I like to use twin sabers, please make? Please!? PLEEEEEASSSSSSSSEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! Twin sabers would be awesome, MAN!

I've received a ton of positive feedback and kind words by many. Thank you =) I'll try to implement as much as I can for SBX2-MotS, and the likely release of SBX-JK v2.1 to bring it up to par with such new additions. Still, I'm working and schooling now, so it's gonna take a while =(

ok don't get me wrong i love the mod best damn thing to come to jk sense Ps2. But i do kinda have to gripe and some points. 1. yeah fix the lag bug it is cause so problems, it's hard for me to tell if i even hit the guy.

2. there does need to be some balance between the 3 types of sabers. like for the longer saber, maybe it should cause a bit more damage, but say the ablitly to swing it be a little bit slower, say have it the normal setting for jk.
the double-bladed saber is ok, maybe change the way it moves down a bit, and the reg saber keep it the same. only problem is each time i play ppl with it, everyone seems to use the double-bladed saber. would be nice to see some varation

Khai_Ra - There isn't a lag bug, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. Speaking of lag, my mod doesn't cause any more lag than normal JK, it seems. The only solution here is to get a better internet connection regardless. As for saber balance, they are already: saber does most damage, lightstaff does a little less but more finesse, and long saber does least damage but has the most range. After many saber battles, I find them to be quite balanced. Regarding people only using the lightstaff, there's nothing that can be done about that other than learning techniques to defeat them with the other two sabers (believe me, it's quite possible).

HiYa ShadowX, that rant above made me laugh, Dude seriously that was funny! I know that we ask alot sometimes. But its the nature of ppl to ask for things. I enjoy this MOD more than any other MOD for JK! Don't get stressed out and throw your computer out the window! (lol). You are by far one of the best MOD creators, if not the very best. Which is why we all have such high standards for your work. If you do decide to put in Grappling Hooks, it would be nice if it were an add on patch to SBX 2.0 So that you could play it with them or without them. Well, keep up the Excellent Work!! Anyone who gives you less than a 10, is jealous of your talents. :-)

Man I have to say that this mod does so much for jk that when I try to play with out it just isn't the same. I do have one small request. (assumes humble bowing position) Would you please tell me how to change the stance back to the original saber position? I do not mean any disrespect, I LOVE your editing abilities, it's just that I liked the original stance. If anyone could tell me it would mean a lot to me. Dude! I have to commend you on such a prodigious outcome. A few comments of mine are coming right..........NOW! OK man I'm sorry but the extended saber (I believe, anyways) was a mistake. Also, I don't quite think the whole ON/OFF thing was necessary. A grapple would have been nice too. Now for some positives, eh? Sweet mod bro. I know what this has done for the Zone, and plenty of newbies are always asking me to play with them. The lightstaff was SWEET. Unfortunately, people use the same little "tricks" as SBX 1 but now with the staff. I personally don't play this mod but man I have to give props where its due. ShadowX, man keep it up! And yes, those of you who believe it would be blasphemous to not give it a 10; I am no blasphemer. Look me up on the Zone I'm SDO_???_DMaul. ( ??? Indicates ranking label as it changes quickly.)

(PS: Is there a Ninja Kage 8 coming soon?)

This is a wonderfully constructed mod. My only request is for some Episode II skins in the next release, such as a new Obi-Wan, Anakin, and maybe even Jango. I think Obi-Wan and Anakin are out there, along with some other Jedi Council members.

It's the best mod I've ever seen. Very good work indeed. Few suggestions:
- It will be better if you could choose skin in single player (similar to changing saber color)it will be cool.
- If you could choose the saber handle would be cool too.

Shadow X, i must admit this is definatly the best saber mod i have ever played, if u do make another one (for i know how evilly painstaking making one is) i'll be first in line to get it, there is one thing i would like to say to i think it was Emon, the only time blood ever showed when a light saber cut something off was in episode 4, where the art of light saber and props wasn't fully perfected, in actuallty the light saber does generate heat and caughterizes the wound, examples: episode 1- when they start to cut through the door to the main bridge the metal is melting, episode 1- when qui-gon is stabed there is a scorch mark on his shirt but no blood, not even coughing of blood which is typical for that type of wound, episode 1- when darth maul is sliced in half he spurts no blood what so ever, which must mean his wound was caughterized, and for all of those who don't count episode 1 as an original episode, i'll shall bring up episode 5- when lukes hand is cut off there is no bleeding, in short that one event where there is blood is cancelled out by all the times there r blood, shadow, no offense to ur mod i think the blood trail is a nice touch, just thought i'd set emon staight, SBX RULES!

ok, i just see i made a fool of my self, i haven't read emon's little comment in a day or too and he does say the blood would be caughterized, but i still stick by my opinion that the light saber does generate heat due to the fact ever time metal was cut in episode one it showed a glow of red or in the door's case it melted, sorry bout that, i'm a ditz sometimes, flaky too, still this is a great mod

I definately give this MOD a 10! Wait, SBX isn't a MOD, its a way of life! This is my favorite MOD and i even play it more than Half-Life:Counter Strike! Everyone needs to download this MOD. Great job on this one ShadowX and i can't wait for other great things from you!

Just to respond to some comments:

I'm currently working on SBX2-MotS (which I'll port to a 2.1 version for JK). Of course, to see my current and previous progress reports, you can go to www.jedicynosure.com, Commsat, then the SBX board. Anyhow, I do plan on adding Episode I and II skins (aside from Count Dooku, who is already in there). I already know of some great Ep. 2 Anakin and Obi-Wan skins and robeless versions of Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon form Ep. 1 that only need a little fix on the geometry (which I could probably do with JOKE). Also, I've already implemented different saber handles per color for the normal and long sabers. You could go to the SBX message board and look through the progress reports for a list of who's hilts are used.

As for comments about the supposed "uselessness" of the long saber, I'm afraid I'm going to have to respectfully deny such false statements. I find it quite useful in many situations. I also enjoy switching between all three sabers in duels for variety. Besides, wait until you see the new saber throw with the long saber ;)

Hey ShadowX, its me-Artemis0Entreri, I helped u make this mod when u were beta testing it ages ago....remember i told u that the stab was a stupid thing to have?

Anyways since i got this mod i must say 3 things:
-This is the best sabre mod ever made period.
-The 'stab' is a useful tool (nice1 shadowX)
-The longsabre is useless my freind...(lol)

OK man the only thing i had problems with was i thought the lightstaff/and kick had slightly more damage with a hit(10%) then i thought would be good. It would be nice to not be able to kick rapidly as some ppl tend to use it just to stay where they r and just swing and kick. The longsabre goes against all star wars episodes. I mean why have such a sabre when the ordinary 1 and litestaff is way cool!! in my experience on playing with sbx2 in zone not many ppl use longsabre.

Anyways i cant wait for sbx2.1 for jk...Oh yea congrats on the best sabre mod ever ...Its like another game....

I give it a 9. First of all great mod!!! Second there is a problem, I don't know if it's the patch commander or themod cannot set keys to change color saber, evade/kick, and that other key. By the way, the extended lightsaber of what he said, isn't very useful but useful on single player (if you don't want to get touched by those homo enemies. Last but not least, SBX-JK v2.1? Can you tell me more info about it?

Definetly a must have mod. The new moves (Which make Kyle Katarn as shifty as Barry Sanders) made saber fighting what it should of been in the original JK (Not to say that the original JK was bad). And finnaly, the double bladed saber dosn't go through the crotch when held. Great job, I've never seen a mod that made saber fighting like it's supposed to be.

This has the best Lightstaff mod out there! I LOVE the new moves. Especailly the "Qui-Gon's death" move. I'm a big fan of Maul. The Extended lightsaber was useless, though and replaced a useful weapon.

It seems the extended saber is far too underrated. First, there is precedent in the Star Wars universe for this saber. It was mentioned in at least one of the novels. I believe Luke used one in the Jedi Academy trilogy, but I'm not completely sure if that was the instance. It is definately mentioned in one of the novels somewhere, though. So the point is that the extended saber concept was not just pulled out of thin air.

My other point is one on strategy. The extended saber cannot be used in the same manner as a regular saber or lightstaff. It involves patience and the ability to keep your opponent(s) at a distance. It's not intended for charging, but requires instead a bit of finesse and situational awareness. The ability to anticipate your opponents moves is also helpful. It's really quite fun to have lightstaff vs. extended saber duels.

OK, SBX 2.0 is to MODS what Area 21 is to MP levels. This too deserves to be put into a shiny box and put into shops. What confuses me when I load up a mod like this is "how comes LucasArts never did this? Surely they could have?" It's just a thought.

The ability to toggle powers like Persusasion on and off is also good, as are the dodging moves and of course, the stars of the show, the sabers.

Some people will no doubt be up in arms at the removal of the bowcaster and concussion rifle, but to be honest, I hate those weapons anyway. Do you want to remove the mines for me as well? ;-)

The extended saber is deinitely part of the Star Wars universe. Most Jedi Knights build their lightsabers with setter switches that control the length and power of the saber. When Luke built his in SotE (Shadows of the Empire) he only put one Adegan jewel (as opposed to the normal three) in it, meaning he couldn't control the length. Just thought you'd want to know.

The effects in general are very 'Jedi Outcast-ish' but I feel that despite this MOD being kick ass, MORE could be made of it. You've already beaten Spork at its own game, so why not try knocking Enhancement Pack (which is good nonetheless) from its lofty perch?

It's probably too late now, what with the imminent release of JK2. If I could edit, I'd certainly work on this (with your permission of course.) Oh well.

I've finished waffling now. In a few words, This MOD Kicks Ass.

*Other then some of the Dark Jedi, most other saber-wielding enemies don't have the saber showing, but that doesn't matter to me.

*I usually don't expect much of anything out of any saber mod, but as of now, I stand corrected. I use this every time I play. A very well done mod, how long did it take to make this? And what do I need to make mods of my own?

This is an absolutely outstanding mod, but no mod is without its flaws. After mission 10 in the singleplayer missions, whenever you activate any lightsaber, the game crashes back to the desktop (or at least that's what happened on my machine.) Despite these flaws, however, this is a great mod and I highly recommend it.

This is for Shadow X. I learned how to swap out character 3do's to play other people than Kyle in the single player missions. While I was playing around I noticed that some characters would not be able to use the lightstaff efectively. The left blade would not do damage while idle or swung. It was mainly with all the Luke 3do's. It would also not work whenever I imported a 3do in such as a Obi Wan I liked. So if you would just check that out. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to your SBX series! I can't wait for the next installments.

By the way, about the extended saber, I also found it very usefull. If you use the Force seeing, and you notice an enemy behind the door, you can stab through the door to kill him. I like that idea and it helps in mult. player action. Keep the extended saber!!

Thanks to Yarah Dahile, SBX finally has a home on the web! He has already designed a bunch of the graphics and layout, and I have tweaked some things here and there already. I figured it needed SOME sort of working links as well as my touch ;) I'll work on it more later on after I finish up testing SBX3-MotS.

First off all awesome mod!!! Second, my problem is solved, I can set keys from the mod (like chnge saber color), last but not least the difference between GOTG-ME and SBX-JK 2.0, is that they are a little bit same, SBX 2.0 is kool because it has that ligtsaber thing hat is true like in the movies, can use a extended and/or lightstaff, kool hotkeys for "change saber color and evasion/kick". On GOTG-ME, it's way different but I bet you know alreay if you have the mod, if not go download it and see the difference.

P.S. The homepage for SBX isn't working, man.
