Minas Tirith: The Fortress City

Like all seven rings of stone with houses in em and the big tower at the top it might sound like alot but u should get to work on making this lvl in some way like the Minas Tirith from the book. Other than that good job and keep up the good work!. Very creative. :)

Posted: 2001-04-20 3:31 a.m.   Report Abuse I noticed some spots were default.mat...I have to agree with Aglar..you seem to have focussed on entirely different things, in which case you shouldnt have named this level 'Minas Tirith' but just 'some other castle'...

I gave it a 6 for decent architecture

Posted: 2001-04-24 3:52 p.m.   Report Abuse I'm with LiMbIzKiT. Very nice piece of architecture, but if you're going to have the STRIP CLUB be such a dang detailed room then you sure as hell better put some OTHER buildings as detailed in there too!! Other than that, excellent level!

Posted: 2001-12-20 4:34 p.m.   Report Abuse At least someone's *tried* to make a Lord of the Rings level. Strip club and big screen TVs? That's a huge anachronism which should have been left out entirely and I would have rated higher if they hadn't been there. I hope someone makes a better version of this level, Isengard (preferrably before Saruman began killing the wildlife around it), the Shire, Rivendell, Lothlorien, or any of the other great locations in Tolkien's work of the century. But at least someone's tried.

Posted: 2002-01-31 2:33 p.m.   Report Abuse hmmmm...pretty good arcitechture (Arc...i...tech....ture....I think that's how you spell it) but it was kind of not really like Minas Tirith. Minas Tirith has Seven Circles, was on a mountain, a tower in the middle, and NO STRIP CLUB! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? sorry. But still, I mean, good try, but not great. Nice texturing, though, the buildings looked like LOTR buildings, being the great fan I am of LOTR I like that, but it was kind of an excuse to have "the first LOTR level!"

This level has pretty cruddy architecture and some realy bad textute choises in places.

This level has only half decent gameplay.

WHAT IS UP WITH THE STRIP BAR?!!!!!!!!!!

I feel like you have done something terrible by adding such a thing into such of a classic place. The level was alrigight with its idea, but when you add horible parts to it that have absilutely no rellivence, it just dissheartens me to think that someone would stoop to such a level.

WHAT is up with your TV's?!!!
There were no security cameras in Lord of the Rings, in fact, there was no electrisity in Lord of the Rings either...

Try to keep things that would in no way be in a place, out of it!

Granted, yes, you did try to recreate a part form Lord of the Rings, and I commend you on your attempt, but your work is in need of serous improvment.

Choose better textures if you are trying to make a medieval type palace (NO ELECTRONICS!!!) and try even to make more of your own textures. Spend more time on your cleaving to better your architecture. Try to add more flow to your level to increase gameplayability.

And by the way, It's a Slingsrat level, so there has to be a strip club. Sometimes I think people are just little robot clones of the same person, all stuck in their own little worlds, not understanding anything but themselves and their own worries.

A.) Strip bar
B.) Tv's
C.) This is not that great of a replica of minas tirit as described in the books. If you are going to make minas tirith do it right. It is a good level, but it doesnt deserve title. If you are going to make a level try to stick with time period local and try and make things fit. This level would be better under another name and if you make more fit in it would get a 9

I mean somebody plz fallow the books!!!! i mean i go spend thirty $ to go see the movies wich didnt fallow the books at all, i come home c this lvl and go OOOO something LOTR, but NO this is just anouther city.
it does have alright arche and the textures used wernt bad, but i mean PLZ make an LOTR mod try a this again and make it something like the book
i gave you a 5 because you did show SOME effort but you used the wrong name shoulda justcalled it something like "Midevil castle" or something like that


(if you want to try this again watch the animated movies, because they are atleast alot more acurite than your ***)
