I quit just after the pipe you swim through with some swimming enemies, a few fish, and some probe droids. I ran out of ammo, and there is no saber, and the fists are disabled, so I'm stuck.
All in all, not impressed. Some decent beta-testing would have helped this level out immensly.
I gave it a nine. Everything was great, but it seemed there was a weird bug that made it crash everytime it exited the objectives screen :(. Other than that, great work.
Enemy/Item placement was not very well balanced, I found myself very low on health and ammo throughout most of the level. If you ran out of ammo, you were screwed because for some odd reason, you couldn't select fists.
The architecture was splended, but it was let down by the same dull looking grey textures being used over and over again. However, it got more interesting in the acid bits near the end.
There was an area of the level that crashed a lot (the bit with the C-3P0/TIE Pilot/Gonk enemies) and I found myself restarting Jedi Knight, and sometimes my computer several times to get through this bit.
This level was not sufficiently beta-tested, and it shows. Great potential is displayed here, so it was a bit of a let-down. Still, it provides a bit of fun in places.
-Live for the swarm-
[Edit] Bri - addressing the clear/non-clear water, I've found that if you have too many clear surfaces, some of them will disappear. I set some water clear because there weren't too many translucent surfaces nearby; however, I didn't want some of the surfaces to simply disappear.
Happens everytime, so im giving this a rating of 1, and i suggest NEVER sending in a buggy version of your lvl
I give it a 10/10 because of the new skins and the interesting story line.
Why couldn't you have added voices? It would have made the level pack much funner and it is not that hard to do.
Any way, an excellent level overall.
Overall, this was funny. I think it's the first joke level that anyone's ever done...ON PURPOSE.
Some of the architecture was varied and done in some rather unique ways. Overall, lookin' good.
I had a few crashes at various points. That sucks. In Wolfy's defense, nobody knows why most crashes actually happen. There are a few common culprits like solid colored mats and new projectiles. But sometimes it seems that JKLs just get corrupted somehow.
This thing was vicious! Right away I was down to about 1 health, 0 shields, and totally out of ammo. I too had to make use of BACTAME and RED5 just to get through. And I hate doing that. What's up with authors either not testing their level's gameplay, or doing so on easy?
And what's the deal with the robot dude that wouldn't die?
The first level had me a little confused. Nobody attacked me. At first, I thought it was a joke.
I saw Max! If this wasn't a joke level, I would give this a 1 on basic principals. Max should only ever be seen as an Easter Egg, or in a joke level like this.
I'm giving it a 4. Good architecture. Good use of skins, actors, and cutscenes. But too hard to be truely fun. Plus the crashes.
BTW, I really liked some of the pictures hanging in the offices.
Other then those two problems, excellent level. Hopefully it will be fixed.
btw i giv it 10
10/10. Please give us more!
And dude, it's a free country, people *can* make fun of leet speak. I personally foind it *tremendously* annoying and uncool.
Sorry, gotta give this a five (:() only because of the bug. If that were fixed and re-release with the bug fixed was to be had, I would give that an 8 or a 9 :)
