Update  Hot on the heels of last Fall's release of
The Titans expansion pack comes the the second add-on for Age of
Mythology. This announcement came as a welcome surprise for the Age
community, as the first expansion added new depths of gameplay, and
this one promises to add even more dimensions. If there's one thing
that's true about Ensemble Studios, it's that they have an unparalleled
commitment to excellence in their games. It's no wonder that they have
chosen to continue this great support of their fans, and give us
exactly what we've been wanting: more Age of Mythology!While the details are still sketchy as of yet, we've confirmed that the Aztecs will be a playable race. I have fond memories of scouting with my Eagle Warrior in Age of Conquerors, ah - good times. This is likely to be a very interesting addition. I imagine they will share similar units to the AoC version, with some expected enhancements. I'm more curious as to what the god powers will be. Also rumored to be a playable civilization will be the Chinese, or some Mongoloid race. I say it's about time! I can imagine it already, a giant dragon Titan roaming about smashing towns. It is unclear at this early juncture whether new gameplay elements will be added, such as the Titans. Even if it just adds more playable races, or a few new gameplay modes, that'd be enough to make me happy, but we'll have to wait and see. For now, ES has made available some early concept art and a few screenshots to whet your appetite. As always, we'll keep you posted as soon as we recieve more news.
