This program will let you open/save particles. It will also allow you to import/export vertices from Jed as particles and edit the particles attributes. Nothing more, nothing less.As dr0id mentioned in his email, particles weren't used very much in JK, but they can be used to make some cool effects (remember the floating death star diagram in level 1 of Dark Forces?).
I have recently accquired a screensaver creation program, and I would like to use it to make a screensaver specifically for the Jedi Knight community, containing screenshots from JK and MotS. The program accepts most image types, but I would reccomend using BMP or JPG/JPEG just in case. I'll take any shots you have, plain and doctored, from JK and MotS. I'll be accepting entries until the end of January, but I'll keep it open if I keep getting alot of submissions. Don't forget to include your name; gotta give credit where credit is due! This is a great idea; I'm amazed no one thought of it sooner! Alright everybody, here's your shot at immortality! On a screensaver, at least. Send your submissions to Mike at orionn@md.freei.net.
Many people are wondering what's going on with Sandcrawler Productions's lightsaber mod, Art of the Lightsaber. We've been working on it for months now, perfecting it, adding features and increasing playability according to gamers' demands. Approximately one week ago we completed the mod. However, on the last minute a peculiar, inexplicable and apparently unsolvable bug popped up - and that is why it wasn't released as promised on Christmas Eve. In addition to this, the server move of Outpost D-34 brought with it innumerable problems with the site which needed immediate attention.
We would like to take this opportunity to apologize to all gamers who are disappointed with us; we are doing our best to complete the mod and get it released as soon as possible. It has already been blown way out of proportion (originally intended as a demo for The Face of Death), and has forced us to set aside our more important projects. Rest assured that the moment we're done, it'll be available for download from every major news site.
This is a no Force saber event for teams and their individual members. Individuals must sign up at BattleStats, and must be included on a team roster to participate. It is the specific intent of the tournament sponsor that all participants have an enjoyable experience regardless of their skill levels. Appropriate sportsmanship, conduct, and behavior are necessary to achieve this goal. All Zone and event rules will be enforced. Details can be found on the tournament page.
I am also working on a "Warrior Experience Skill" System that replaces the forcepowers. These, however, are not powers at all. They are stats you can add to the player. You don't bind them to hotkeys because they modify the player's fighting ability so don't think they are force powers. There are 12 stats in all and are divided into three sections. For the rest, please visit SavageX's Command Center.
The first four skills are the Basic Skills in which a player can increase his Strength (adds to melee weapons power), Increase his Vitality (adds more Health units), incease his agility (makes him move faster), and the last one is Endurance (how much damage the player takes.)
If I don't see a screenshot of a level, I don't download it.Level authors: if you want people to download your level, please send us screenshots (please follow the instructions when doing so). The majority of our visitors will not download your level unless there are screenshots! This has been noted in the submission instructions...
I have opened a new site through which I plan to post news and reviews for JK and MotS levels and mods. I have hired an artist friend of mine to create a logo for it. I currently am looking for approximately 4-6 people to act as my staff, 2-3 reviewers, and 2-3 to post news. You can come to my site and fill out an aplication. I hope that some of you out there will come. More info is available at http://www.dreamwater.com/game/jedinutjim/
It has been four months since the first Glowsaber was announced, and after months of debugging and tweaking, our final product is complete! Glowsaber 3D is the first non-flat glow available. It is currently available on our site at http://www.jedinights.com/glowsaber/. Please report any bugs not listed in the readme. Thanks for all of the support, and please enjoy! He also says that a bug was found in G3D, so if you downloaded it before January 3rd, download it again and replace the old version. The screenshot looks great, so go check it out!
