Prison Ship Docking Bay

Aesthetics:
This level feels like a prison ship docking bay. The author succeeded in that aspect of the level. The architecture is simplistic and gets the job done for a level of it's size. The author took advantage of the option for colored lighting in MotS and did a good job with it. But I think the teal lighting is out of place (screenshot 1). The texturing is very plain, but the lighting helps it out. There isn't much eye candy in the level besides the X-Wing.3do's that are in the hangar. There is one large elevator in the level that is placed in what I think is supposed to be the control room.
Gameplay:
This is where the author really hurt the level. There are items all over the place. Two revives right out in the open, easily accessed, and the Super Shield is in the middle of the hangar on the floor (first screenshot)! The author did nothing to make it harder to get to. All the weapons are included in the level and are very easy to access just like everything else. There are force fields in place of where the prison cells are supposed to be. You can't see them until you run into them, but there are switches that can turn them on or off (second screenshot). The author lowered the gravity in the level which doesn't affect the gameplay much, but is quite unnecessary in my opinion since the level is so small. In the first screenshot, in the doors that are behind me and beside me, there are large guns that can shoot out into space or shoot around in the small room they are in. They are very painful if you get hit by them. That is a very nice cog that is used for the guns though. If you have more than 4 players this level gets hectic.
Final Comments:
This is the author's first level, and a good try at a first one too, but I wouldn't reccomend downloading this level unless you like long conc fights where people run off to get health because it is so easily accessed.
