Deathmatch Facility

Aesthetics:
I launched this level and found myself in an unlit room with 3 doors and a square pool of water to the side. The level had a metal theme, but was quite plain and more textures had to be used. Anyways, choose a door and walked through... to find myself in a dark box with a light and dark force surge (see screen 1). Looking for more, i left that room and went into the next... only to find an unlit box that looked out into the stars. But wait! to my left i saw a control panel. I pushed it, and boom! a tie bomber flew over me. Wow, nice little cog job there, but nothing special. I continued, only to go down some plain and ugly looking elevator shaft into a straight hallway (see screen 2). There were some weapons, but not many. Overall, The level was basically a couple of connected boxes with no lighting, except for the one dark room (screen 1). No new textures, and the textures used were overdone and were quite bland.
Gameplay:
The level's gameplay was better than it's looks, but it still fell short. Weapons consisted of a concussion and some ammo. Very little of anything. whoever got the concussion won. And the concussion was in the start room at an easy to get place. heck, I believe it was the only weapon that could be picked up... The elevators that led to the bottom would only pick you up at one spot, not at the top and at the bottom. You had to use a certain one to get up or down. Framerate is good of course, and the author did insert a nice little TIE bomber, but it's just an effect.
Final Comments:
This level is just a few boxes connected by doors and elevators. Texturing is not good and there are very few items. I'll be honest with you, I wouldn't DL it unless you are looking for what NOT to do.
