The Fallen One

Aesthetics:
The Fallen One, one good example of a level in need of beta testing. This level offers a large arena area with small hills, a pool, streams and the wall of a building all of which give a weak impression. Each of these composed of so many harsh angles I felt a flashback to high school geometry class. Entry into the pool does not give the impression of swimming. Lack of sound and water resistance feels more like being in a zero-G environment. Ramps do not line up with the landing. One in particular has an angular hole within it. Textures are repetative and do not seem to fit the structure they are placed on. Even more annoying, a large door can be found that cannot be open. Nevertheless, this level does gain some points for its architecture. Not visual appealing, the structures are set up to offer a nice arena for avid gunners.
Gameplay:
Again, this level offers something for all you gunners who do not care about the aesthetics. With a large sniper point encircles the back wall, a player can snipe his enemies, but not without the risk of getting concussion from the walls that encircle you. The hills add some protection from would-be snipers. Futhermore, Weapons were in great spots. The concussion rifle sits right in the line of fire from most every direction, while one must take a swim into the big pool for a rail gun. Sheilds and health are located within the sniper point. These positioning keep the players on equal footing, those who want power, must take a risk, those who have it, are never really safe. Even with some great big gun game play, the level has one particular error that became very annoying. From the sniper point a shaft can take you safely to the ground level with a hole of egress. Unfortunately the hole is not big enough to exit leaving a player stuck with no way out.
Final Comments:
With so many levels available to download, this one probably should not be on your "to download" list. Although, keep an eye out for any of Grevenilvec's future levels. With some work on the visuals, and fixing of some errors, this level could create a really fun gun battle.
